The Fools That Bring Disaster (Ken Mehlman)
The Other McCain ^ | August 25, 2010 | Robert Stacy McCain

Posted on 08/27/2010 8:46:11 PM PDT by DesertRenegade

There were other things I wanted to write about this evening, but now I feel like I’m obligated to write a society-page feature because the Drama Queen (Ken Mehlman) decided to make her debut at the cotillion.

(...)

Excuse my derision, and denounce me as suffering from “homophobia” — Can I get an SSI disability check for that? Would Medicaid pay for treatment? — if that satisfies your craving for a sense of moral superiority. You’re not going to guilt-trip me into pulling punches. I’m heaping the most vicious ridicule I can on this twerp for a reason: To discourage others from emulating him.

(...)

Mehlman’s dramatic gesture is nothing but pure political theater. The only reason he “came out,” as the story makes clear, is so that he can now be a GOP drum major for the gay-rights agenda.

My ax to grind with Mehlman has nothing to do with his sexuality and everything to do with how he ran the White House Office of Political Affairs and the RNC in the Bush years. It was during the Bush years, with Karl Rove as deputy chief of staff and Mehlman as director of OPA (and later as RNC chairman), that the Republican Party began operating in a top-down fashion, with the smart guys in Washington calling all the shots, playing favorites in contested primaries and otherwise meddling in affairs that are properly the business of state parties and the GOP rank-and-file.

Very refreshing to see someone who tells it like it is. I have no problem with what these queers do in private. But when they intentionally try to undermine Conservatism by pursuing their obsessive and narcissistic sexual fetish, they need to be called out. Ken Mehlman isn't doing anyone any favors by suddenly making a public announcement about his bedroom practices.

I wish our side would quit giving the other-side any openings on the issue of morality.

There is one standard of morality, God's. Period.

Anything that falls outside of the standard is immorality.

Don't give them an inch.

It’s time to move on. Who really cares who any consenting adult has sex with ,so long as the other is a consenting adult? The fact that people spend time on this makes me wonder about their sex lives. I’m a conservative Christian Republican. I have gay friends. They have their lives - My wife and I have ours.

It is unseemly that homosexuals feel the need to tell the world about their sexual perversions.

Please...for the children...shut up about it!

Because it matters. Evidence time and time again proves it, and the Word of Gad reserves the harshest condemnation for it. Only for sodomy does God say “he will give you over”. That is give up on you, quit trying to save or redeem you.

Why? He tell us, because DOING the deed, alters you mind, your will, your soul in such a way that you are no longer ABLE or WILLING to “retain” the knowledge of God. Seeking only the pleasure of the reprobate lusts.

Now, any being, any person, so depraved as to put their lusts above ALL other interests, cannot be trusted with simple things like the economy.

Self control is the prerequisite for self government.

A homosexual is totally unsuited for self government for this reason.

And the errors they made have been catastrophic.

This is an excellent article. Here's the money quote that he pulls from the Atlantic:
Chad Griffin, the California-based political strategist who organized opposition to Proposition 8, said that Mehlman’s quiet contributions to the American Foundation for Equal Rights are “tremendous,” adding that “when we achieve equal equality, he will be one of the people to thank for it.” Mehlman has become a de facto strategist for the group, and he has opened up his rolodex — recruiting, as co-hosts for the AFER fundraiser: Paul Singer, a major Republican donor, hedge fund executive, and the president of the Manhattan Institute; Benjamin Ginsberg, one of the GOP’s top lawyers; Michael Toner, a former chairman of the Federal Election Commission; and two former GOP governors, William Weld of Massachusetts and Christie Todd Whitman of New Jersey.
Get it yet? This creep was a mole! And some of us were saying that from day one when he was appointed.

I apologize for being politically incorrect, but my common sense tells me that it’s just not wise to put a man who sexually fetishizes the fecal waste canal of other males in charge of the RNC. I have never seen a single example of where one of these queer RINOs doesn’t predictably start pushing the militant homosexual agenda line by line. National defense and the sanctity of marriage may not be important to you. But to me, they form the foundation of our society. Obama and Mehlman want to weaken our country and our culture by mandating open homosexuality in military units and legitimize male/male sodomite ‘marriage’. That’s a bright line for me. I guess I’m a ‘homophobe’.

Did you actually read the article? Ken Mehlman is a disgrace. And so are the people who appointed him.

And Melhman/Wallace/Schmidt are doing a gay marriage even next month.

This was all a set up for a Dem win in Nov.

How well will I be received at Georgetown cocktail parties if I introduce myself as a Hetero-sexual American?

Sounds like a civil war is brewing in the party. The guys on the margins of the big tent want to hold the election hostage now just in case they are pushed aside by the second/third week of November.

The inevitable outcome (other than a positive result on his HIV test) of publicly sashaying his penchant for doing the scatological Massachusetts Two-Step is that he'll end up with a democrat's hand up his @$$.

Yell it from the rooftops, RSM!

They're still meddling -- only now they're doing it under the umbrella of American Crossroads, Crossroads GPS, American Action Network and the American Action Forum with 'geniuses' Rove, Gillespie, and Mike Duncan at the helm. I really wish this gang would just get lost. I don't know if Mehlman is involved in this network -- but I would bet 'yes.'

I think you missed the point of the article. I could care less about his extracurricular activities -- except when they involve using his notoriety for pushing special rights for homosexuals through bogus "conservative" groups like GOProud.

Mighty interesting bunch meddling in California. Paul Singer was Rudy's boy.

I agree with you 100 percent, but it is annoying when the individual has to go to the press to claim they are gay....maybe he did not go to the press, but somehow he let too many people know and now it is all over the news. I personally think he did a good job for President Bush. My question is if you have to “come out”, why not in December or even November 3rd for goodness sakes.

Mehlman was clearly an infiltrator---the stalking horse for the pukeneos and others bent on kicking so/cons to the curb and taking over the party structure for their secret goals.

Religious cleansing of the party was a prime objective.

Mehlman's contempt for Republicans was always evident---the fund-raising dwindled under his chairmanship---he turned off old-time party members---even getting into arguments with them.

BACKSTORY In one example that has never previously come out, on June 8, 2002, the Washington Post and other publications began reporting that a Senate staffer on Capitol Hill had found a computer disk in Lafayette Park across from the White House.

On the disk was a PowerPoint presentation that Rove and Mehlman had given to pinpoint strengths and weaknesses in the 2002 mid-term election. As outlined in a series of subsequent press disclosures, the presentation reviewed prospects for individual candidates, including which ones might lose.

The vaunted secrecy of the Bush White House had sprung a leak. According to the Mehlman aide who was in charge of the mechanics of the PowerPoint presentation, the talk was given to a chapter of the California Lincoln Club at the Hay Adams Hotel across from the White House. The aide hooked up his laptop computer to the projector.

"At that time, I used to bring a floppy disk in case there was a computer problem," said the aide, who agreed to tell me what happened without attribution to him. "I took the disk out of my pocket and put it in a folder I was carrying with Karl's hard copy of the presentation. I left the folder on the projector; I'm certain the disk was still in it." The aide said the disk was not lost in the park. "My belief is that someone in the room took it from the folder on top of the projector," he said. "I did leave it there unattended after I tested the projector for a minute or two. I think I went to get a diet Coke."

When the details of the PowerPoint presentation hit the press, Mehlman asked the staffer about it. He said he took full responsibility and offered to resign. But both Mehlman and Rove supported him.

When the details of the PowerPoint presentation given to a chapter of the (gay-centric) California Lincoln Club hit the press, Mehlman said he took full responsibility, and offered to resign.

Also, Kenny had just heard there was a half-price sale on satin sheets and down-filled duvets at Bed, Bath and Beyond........and was anxious to get there before the doors opened.

Plus he had to spit-shine his penny loafers.

Ken Mehlman? The name is vaguely familiar. Is there some reason I should be interested in him?

Ah, it’s because he “came out.” Coincidentally, it came out at the same time that the U.S. birthrate has dropped to its lowest level in a hundred years. I guess this is the end of the Mehlmans too.
