I've taken a hell of a lot of shots at policy over the last three years, and have on occasion gone after specific policy mandates and recommendations.
This will be an attempt to back the lens out and take a wider view. That is, we're going to look at first principles, not the fine details.
If we want to fix America's economy, we have to address the distortions that have been exploited by those in American business, and especially those in foreign businesses. This means, broadly, two things:
Economic (wage) arbitrage
Environmental arbitrage

Deninger gets it....understands that the current Liberal Globalist Free Trade system does not work. The FairTax will fix most of that
The Liberal Free Trade Globalists will be whining like schoolgirls during their time of the month over what Deninger wrote.....but it is the only real fix to the problem. The Liberal Free Trade Globalists fail to understand that you do not create wealth by shipping it to Communist China.
Of course, reality is the Liberal Free Trade Globalists truly do want an Income Tax over any tax on purchases and products
