Remember when liberals got all bent out of shape because Newt Gingrich pointed out that a for a country to hold together, it needs either a strong common culture or a strong central government? Finland is an example of the first - Singapore the second. Both are now better places to live than the USA. Neither would tolerate certain expressions of cultural diversity like blowing up buildings, robbing liquor stores, and demanding welfare payments that the USA tolerates.
