If you are in an area with a high Jewish concentration; the odds are high that concessions for the Jewish players will be made too.

Consider, in Utah the predominant religion is LDS. The Mormons hold their Family Home Evening on Monday nights. This is 1 day during the week that families are asked (not ordered ... asked) to spend time together, playing games, talkign, worshipping - etc.

Coaches in Utah know that if they schedule games or practice on Mondays, a substancial number (if not a majority) of their team will not show up. So, for this reason you will not find sports games scheduled on Mondays.
