Skopje, 18 August (Aki) - Ethnic Albanian Islamists in Macedonia have uploaded a song praising Osama Bin Laden on the popular video sharing website YouTube. The singer and songwriter are unknown, Skopje news agency INA reports.
"Allah is great. You fled from your hometown and swore to Jihad. You spent your life in the mountains and all you had you sacrificed to Allah", says the song.
The song is rumoured by some to be being performed in mosques around Macedonia after it was distributed at a n ethnic Albanian Muslim forum in Macedonia. It is thought to have been performed in several mosques in Skopje, the Macedonian capital.
One in four of Macedonia’s two million people are ethnic Albanians, who are Muslims.
Muslims in Macedonia have criticised the song, and claim they had nothing to do with it. They disputed that the song had been performed in any of the country's mosques.
Radical Wahabi Muslims have in recent years increasingly resorted to violence in a bid to impose their fundamentalist version of Islam in several Balkan countries, most notably in Bosnia.
Macedonian officials have not yet confirmed the presence of radical Wahabi groups in the country.
But as recently as last month, police detained three Islamists with suspected Wahabi links after they allegedly assaulted an imam at a Skopje mosque, threw him out of the mosque and replaced him with a radical imam to lead prayers.
Wahabis are suspected of bombing a police station in the Bosnian town of Bugojno in June, killing one police officer and injuring six others.
Wahabi fundamentalists have recently been leafleting mosques throughout Bosnia, urging Muslims not to join the country's police and army, rattling the country's moderate imams and other Muslims.

The construction of the houses for the returnees is being financed by the Kosovo Community and Return Ministry and the construction of 18 more houses was planned.
The incident has upset the Serbs in the area. Kosovo police are guarding their tent camp 24 hours a day.
Kosovo police Spokesman for the Peć region Zeqir Kelmendi said that the contractor reported the incident around noon.
He also explained that a wall in one of the houses had been demolished and that concrete blocks had been scattered around the house and added that Kosovo police were working on identifying the perpetrators.
the Serbs have been exposed to numerous attacks since their return to the village of Žač.

Are we surprised they show their true colors for their support for cavemen like Bin laden? Albanians have supported the Nazis and before them the Turks who made the nazis look like choir boys.
Of course not. A few years ago Kosovo even boasted a "bin Laden Mosque", until they were forced to rename it because it was bad PR for getting recognitons.
