I wanted to see (at least by computer) exactly where the GZ mosque would be built.
It's a couple of blocks from the WTC-GZ location, but since it is supposed to be 13 (thirteen?) stories high, I guess it would have a view of the WTC location.

close enough so that the landing gear of MUHAMMED Fing Atta’s plane landed on the roof and broke through a couple flights...the bstrds can build this, but they better have a HUGE REBUILDING fund in reserve...
Seriously. I’m all for blowing up that mosque, and will contribute to any TNT fund.
The difference, though, is Americans would make sure there are no innocent people inside. The mooselimbs have no such trouble killing innocents.
In fact, I’m sure they will make sure to keep plenty of women and children in the 9/11 mosque at all times. Heck, they’ll probably bomb it themselves and blame us for it.

They kept saying 2 blocks from WTC site but in looking at the map it is two very short blocks and because of the angle of the streets it’s looking right at the WTC from its SW corner.
Quite frankly I don't think these pukes have in mind building a "cultural center"/"community center"/"prayer center". Instead their purpose is to simply get far enough down the line with the development project to allow them to dismantle the building and ship its parts overseas to their Moslem Brotherhood buddies to peddle as "souvenirs" to rich Moslems.
This is the LAST of the large buildings in that area to actually suffer damage by the planes ~ and Atta's plane was certainly the lead attack vehicle (conceptually).
As his plane swept through the WTC it collected live human beings and turned them into juice and parts, and carried them out to this particular target.
I used to work at 53 Park Place (before it was turned into an apartment building). It is my understanding that the proposed mosque would be built next door, at 49-51 Park Place. (I think they already own 49 Park Place and are looking to buy 51 PPl.)
I’m not sure you can tell from the map, but these buildings are all VERY close to the WTC site. The blocks down in lower Manhattan are not the same as those in midtown. They are smaller and windier. It literally took me less than 2 minutes to walk from my office and be at the elevator banks of the North Tower.
When they say it’s “in the shadow of the WTC,” they aren’t kidding. The buildings cast a DEEP shadow, and in the afternoons, when those shadows fell, the whole block was covered by it.

No, 51 Park Place is definitely in play. That’s where the Burlington Coat Factory used to be.
I did as you suggested and took a stroll using Google Maps. LOL...the Amish cafe wasn’t there when I worked there. I think it was a Blimpy’s back then (or was that around the corner?)...
Having said that, if you use Google to go to the corner of Park Place and W. Broadway, and pan South (left),...you will see a large blank space in the skyline. THAT’S how close the WTC was to this site. The North Tower alone filled that gap (and more, too), and soared way, WAAAY over the buildings next to it.
