“In the latest CNN poll, voters overwhelmingly support his renomination”

A lot of that could be non-dems who believe 0bama will be so damaged, he'll be the more beatable between himself and Hillary! And he's sending up that trial balloon about bring Hillary! aboard as VP. Ain't gonna happen. For the aging, sagging, bejoweled Hillary!, a run at the presidency is going to have to happen soon.

My thoughts exactly. “Generic” means nothing.
Just wait until there is a specific candidate
that the MSM can focus their hate laser on.

Who wouldn’t be for a fictional no name Republican instead of the communist in chief? Everyone can cast their own illusions around that generic Republican. It is when we have to nail it down to one specific, real world, living, breathing Republican that the rubber meets the road. That is much more difficult.

bill clinton is a bad example because it was a 3 way race with perot and bill never got 50% of the vote like Obama will need.

My prediction is that if things get really bad they will drop Biden (under some false pretense) and bring Hillary on as vice president to shake up the race, and inject the excitement and historic back into the race.

This would be the absolute worst case scenario for us in my opinion, because ... of us... WE helped hype Hillary to try and divide the democrats... Many democrats are STILL mad that Hillary didn't get the nomination... by bringing her onto the ticket ... that could bring all those people back with energy to spare.

And that could possibly mean, 16 years straight of democrats holding the presidency and appointing Supreme Court replacements for the fab 5... *shiver*

It turns out everyone is a bit smarter this time.

And we won’t fall for a RINO wolf in sheep’s clothing.

Once they put a name on the opponent it will be even wider. Look at how McMahon is closing the gap in CT. now that shes the actual nominee.

Unfortunately, Romney is not NEARLY as attractive as a generic candidate!
