Andy Pugno, general counsel for ProtectMarriage.com, the official proponents of Proposition 8, released the following statement today in response to the ruling of U.S. District Court Chief Judge Vaughn Walker in the Perry v. Schwarzenegger case:

“Today’s ruling is clearly a disappointment. The judge’s invalidation of the votes of over seven million Californians runs contrary to legal precedent and the notion of states' rights. But this is

Voting is a 100% waste of time.

I have seen Prop 187 set aside.

SB1070 set aside.

Prop 8 set aside.

We shall soon see Prop C set aside.

There is only way to enforce the US Constitution.

No one is surprised, right? The votes of the people mean NOTHING to the leftwing judges.

It has been speculated that Walker is actually gay. If so, he should have recused himself. I haven’t read the opinion yet, but if he make the blanket statement that homosexuality is nature, not nuture, he’s full of it. There is no empirical evidence one way or the other.

I don’t see this surviving SCOTUS, even with that Kommie Kagan on the Kourt.

Reversing today's decision will also serve as a reminder that the role of the courts is to interpret and apply the law only as enacted by the people and their elected representatives, not to impose new social policies.

Well-written, and perhaps the most important aspect of the fight Americans are waging against the fascists in the Hussein regime and throughout the entire federal bureaucracy.

John Galt was right and Dagney Taggart was wrong. This sort of thing needs to collapse of it’s own weight and then the “producers” can come in and pick up the pieces.

By “this thing” I am speaking of the typical end that democracies come to. Of course, the war that will bring closure could be very, very bad.

There’s a Lib on the Boston Herald web-site who called the reversal of SB1070 “democracy in action”.

I haven't seen the decision yet, but not surprised.

Don't know what's worse - one homosexual (Vaughn clearly is) declaring that Marriage is dead, or the ludicrous declaration that the Constitution of the State of California is un-Constitutional.

Maybe both are equally mad. As is this man, and our society now.

Every leftist Judge in this country should be removed and assigned the job of... I dunno, something they’re more suited to - like picking up dog crap out of our public parks.

One and all, they no longer give a DAMN about our constitution, rule of law or their oath and serve only to advance their liberal agenda. They are corrupt to the core.

“It has been speculated that Walker is actually gay.”

No, it is actually known that he is gay. No speculation needed.

I’m not sure going Galt will do anything but cause us all tremendous grief and suffering. Some few are capable of living off the land, but the carrying capacity isn’t there for a nation of many millions of subsistence farmers. Besides, going Galt is just right-wing Cloward-Piven. If we don’t like the latter (and I don’t), then we shouldn’t recommend the former.

These are the same people who want to get rid of the general election in favor of the popular vote but hide behind left wing judges when it comes to the Constitution.
