I know this is a vanity. But tell me who out their is truly happy with Michael Steele. The perfect Replacement IMHO? Laura Ingraham. She is media savvy, Has verbal retorts on any debatable idea, and so much more. Single Mom that is a cancer survivor, a women of faith, she has many more attributes that would allow her to connect with voters on ideas. I do not know her business skills (i.e. running the RNC) but a team could be assembled to do so. Your thoughts fellow Freepers.....

She is a single mom?

I like her okay but not my favorite. I prefer Malkin or maybe Coulter

I think she’d be good to succeed Steele. I think it’s too late to change horses in this stream.

How about Willard Mitt Romney taking the job,
and actually pitching in??

Mitt, show some GUTs for a change.
Do some good, for once.

The RNC is, first and foremost, a fund raising organization. The chairman of the RNC needs experience and ability in political fund raising far more than he needs the ability to effectively advocate for Republican principles.

When the RNC chair is doing his job, he’s not trying to act as spokesman for the GOP, he’s shutting up and working to keep the money flowing in.

Ingraham has no experience in what the job requires, and her abilities she has to offer would be wasted in that position.

I'd rather have Ann, it would put the entire left into apoplectic fits.

The job of the RNC chair is to raise money and to get Republican candidates elected. Ideally this person is effective, well connected, low key and low profile. Think the Haley Barbour model. The RNC chair shouldn’t be out there debating anyone, regardless of how clever, or opining on policy. While I admire Laura Ingraham, I think she is much better suited to do what she is doing right now. The ideal RNC chair is someone most of is have never heard of.

The only Time I watch O'Reilly is when Laura is the guest host. She's 10X smarter than BO, and she listens to her guests.

That said, she'd make a great replacement for Mikey Steele.

I was thinking that Laura would be a great US Supreme Court Justice next time around.

Adoptive mother.

Legal experience.

Aggressive interviewer.

Works for me.

We need to leave Laura alone. She has adopted children to raise, and her first priority has to be them, not a career or Republicans. Besides, she does just fine on her radio program stomping liberal idiots into the ground and promoting conservative causes and people.

Laura adopted two children from South America a couple of years ago.

Laura has an adopted child. She would be a great RNC Chairwoman. Blows away Michael Steele. This is a gal (person) quite comfortable in her skin and brains galore to boot. I like her big time!!!
