The FLORIDA PRIMARY is 24 AUGUST 2010, that is over 3 weeks from now ! Why is the FL-GOP acting as if RUBIO is the ONLY Candidate in the race... that is WRONG FOLKS.. and yet another reason to NOT send a penny to the GOP this election cycle...

You were correct yesterday. His website is a hot mess. TMI about being a citizen of four countries, three marriages, etc. I agree that he is probably a smart guy, but Aug. 1 is probably not the time to start. Trust me, I’m no Rubio fan. He’s a little punk rat.

Was Escoffery ever elected to a political office?

I read his information carefully. Am I the only one troubled by:
1- trained as a pathologist in Canada, but practiced OB-GYN for 10 years, despite having no formal training in the speciality.
2- has spent total of about 15 years in Florida- with 50+ years spent elsewhere.
3- Born a British citizen, he then became a Jamaican citizen, moved to Canada and became a Canadian citizen, moved to the US and became a US citizen- 4 different citizenships!
He is obviously very bright, and may be a very nice man, but his background doesn't enthrall me as qualification for the U.S. Senate.

Tomorrow I plan to work with Dr Escoffery to clean up his website... (I can sure use the help of some techie FReepers) FReepmail me if you can help fix his HTML code to make his message easier to read.... He is a true CITIZEN/PATRIOT willing to go to DC for the RIGHT REASON.. with the RIGHT ATTITUDE... he does not NEED the JOB.. He is CLEARLY not FIGHTING for the Job, he is WILLING to do the JOB if the PEOPLE of Florida send him... I think we need to send him ! At first I thought he should not be mentioning so much personal history that could be seen as “negative” by some conservatives.... but I gotta respect a man who is laying it all on the line and allowing the people to judge him for who he is and where he came from, no need to “dig up dirt” on this man... He put it all out there for the world to see and judge.

A scripture comes to mind.. something about a person who wants to cast the first stone.. :)

I am going to vote for Rubio. If this Escoffery is a good conservative, I hope he makes some inroads in the local races and begins to push for Constitutional government in the county and state level...tks for the info.

Goldwater Girl,

He is a TRUE citizen/Patriot... I am not looking for a perfect POLITICIAN to send to Washington... we have FAR TOO MANY OF THEM ALREADY !! What we need is a citizen/patriot with REAL conservative values not towing the GOP RINO LINE ! We have WAY too many of those.. if we send Dr. Escoffery to the SENATE and elect at least 67 senators JUST LIKE HIM we will bring the GOP back to its conservative roots, and have a VETO OVERRIDE MAJORITY to completely dismantle the OBAMA AGENDA.....

Do you think this guy who no one has ever heard of has a chance of beating the liberal, Charlie Crist?

I’d say no, particularly when you consider that he’ll have only a little more than 2 months to tip the balance. Rubio is only a few points behind in the Quinnipac poll, which tends to be skewed to the left. I think he can pull it out.

And just about anyone would be a better choice than Crist.

A vote for Rubio in THIS PRIMARY is a vote for the STATUS QUO of the GOP.... If that is what you want than please go right ahead.. it is time for serious CHANGE in America.. and not the OBAMA type of CHANGE... CONSERVATIVE GOD FEARING CHANGE !

here we go again... same argument used to convince Conservatives to vote for JOHN MCCAIN in 2008..... and you see what that got us... I blame conservatives who voted for McCain in the PRIMARY for giving us Obama....... never again.. the PRIMARY is where we choose our BEST CONSERVATIVE that is the way to effect REAL change.... vote for RUBIO if you want to continue the GOP STATUS QUO...

VOTE FOR Dr. Escoffery if you want REAL CONSERVATIVE AMERICAN VALUES with a LIFETIME of REAL WORLD EXPERIENCE

You're not alone. The GOP is doing the same thing in Wisconsin. After endorsing Ron Johnson, who joined the US Senate race in early May, the state party has given Dave Westlake the cold shoulder and sought to harass Westlake supporters in other counties. Dave has been campaigning for more than a year, while Johnson joined the race about three weeks before the State convention and got the sudden endorsement.

I am sending donations to individual candidates and PACs and never again to the state or national party unless they change their tune.

All we're asking is that people educate themselves on the many candidates before the primaries so that they can make an informed decision at the ballot box. The Political Machine is not amused.

Here's a comparison between the candidates that has the Wisconsin GOP establishment up in arms.

How can a vote for Rubio be a vote for the GOP status quo when the GOP was supporting Crist in the primary?

This is just moving the goalposts. And when you do that, you never score.

I think you’re misguided. Rubio is a conservative. If you vote for Escoffery, you’ll get Crist. And Crist is DEFINITELY a hard-core liberal.

Gee, I don’t see anything about Dr. III becoming a naturalized citizen in his CV. When I lined out all the academic folderol I was left with he is or was a doctor of medicine (who was smart enough to flee Canadad’s national managed death care) and a doctor of laws (and may or may not be a practicing attorney). Give a choice between someone who has demonstrated legislative ability and a pointy-head, I will pick the person with demonstated ability every time.

Rubio can’t even manage his own checkbook, much less be a Senator. Rubio has an $8000 net worth. He has begged, borrowed, and stole to stay in politics. Rubio is a rino who is at the mercy of special interests. Not a leader or “conservative” at all. He’s just like the rest of them.

Oh, please “American values”. This unknown, unqualified bozo isn’t even smart enough to put a decent website... And he isn’t even an American.

Please get real

This is the PRIMARY folks.. we need to support the MOST CONSERVATIVE candidate in the primary... or did we learn nothing from RINO JUAN McCain in 2008...?
