Your analysis was very flawed. It completely depended static analysis. The price of gas IS going to go up and go up big time. The price of the Volt will go down as economies of scale kick in.

I've been a Milton Friedman Conservative since the early 1980's. Never voted for a Democrat. Worked for Ronald Reagan in 1980 & 1984 campaigns. Worked for George H.W.Bush in 1988. Never worked for the government in any capacity. So once again you are off base in your analysis.
I just happen to like electric motors and have my whole professional life. That makes me a socialist?
