If there’s no jobs but stuff is cheap to make in general, I don’t see any way for there not to be some sort of serious issues coming up.

You can bet your bippy on it. My father is 87 years old and has been a conservative, small businessman forever. He was always a champion of competition but, he told me an employment disaster was coming if we didn't stop productivity advances by technology.

As alien to me as that is, he has a point.

Despite what others are saying, if there’s no need for ‘labor’ anymore, you’re going to have an awful lot scary stuff going on. If manufacturing’s gone, that leaves services left, mostly unskilled. I’m not sure what will happen but there’s a possibility for some sort of serious disaster.
