“.. the whole concept of whaling in today’s world is idiotic and indefensible.”

Hello to all my Inuit and Japanese friends, Wendy1946 wants you all to become scumbags in Harlem. She knows better than you, so give up your ancient heritage - Wendy1946 says it’s idiotic and indefensible. Got that?

Hi Wendy! Please read through some of my earlier posts on this thread about my experience trying muktuk for the first time today. In fact, I'm going to run to the fridge and see if there is any left :-)

Different subject altogether. Aboriginal - IWC grants permits to indigenous groups for subsistence food. Example: Alaskan Inupiat. The Japanese on the other hand fish in Australian territorial waters. ustralia has outlawed ALL whaling in its territorial waters and the Japanese are in DIRECT VIOLATION of the Sovereign Laws of Australia

.

The whaling occurs in the Southern Ocean Whale Sanctuary, an internationally ordained preserve that covers the waters surrounding Antarctica as far north as 40º S and protects 11 of the planet’s 13 species of great whales. Research is permitted in the Southern Ocean Whale Sanctuary, commercial whaling is explicitly forbidden. Got that?
