A 29-page list of 1,300 people accused of being in Utah and the US illegally was mailed anonymously to media outlets and law enforcement agencies last week. It included Latino names, addresses, phone numbers, Social Security numbers, and private health information such as the due dates of babies.
Two state employees identified within the Utah Department of Workforce Services and already placed on administrative leave could face criminal charges in connection with the lists release. And state Attorney General Mark Shurtleff says his office is still investigating further leaks.
Intentionally releasing a private record in Utah is a misdemeanor punishable by up to six months in jail and $1,000 fine. If the record was stolen, the crime could be prosecuted as a felony and carry a penalty of up to five years in prison and a $5,000 fine.
Beyond illegality, immigrants rights and other Hispanic groups say the release of the list is just morally wrong.
Mr. Shurtleff likened the list's release to Nazism. You replace 'Mexican,' you replace 'illegal alien'
with 'Jew,' and use that same kind of language that was spread throughout Nazi hit lists in Germany, he told Utah's KSL-TV on Friday.

Sad that this is what we've been forced to do to defend our nation.
These people need to be called out, in plain English, on what they are advocating: totally open borders, no control of who is in our country, the transfer of wealth from Americans to non-Americans, abolishing the Rule of Law and, as a result, chaos.
They need to claim whistleblower protection.
So these people are being rounded up at this moment?
They are having their possessions stolen by the government then?
We have already killed most of them?
These Nazi references are getting old and diminishes what the Nazi's really were.
If two persons using existing state records and data can find 1300 illegal immigrants in short order, what is the state and fed excuse of not being able to enforce immigration laws????? These two state employees should get a good lawyer and prepare to make the trial into a forum on illegal immigration and how easy it is to enforce it and why the gov refuses to do so with the lame excuse we cannot find them. It also puts the feds in a public bind. They now have names of 1300 illegal immigrants, they better be deported by the time of the trial, otherwise they will need to explain to the public on what is the hold up. Illegal access to info to report a crime is a crime. Then the release of the Secret Pentagon Papers by Ellsworth should be a crime and according to the liberals it was not. Utah and the feds should proceed with caution on prosecution because this will be more than trial, it involves political PR and the conservatives need to be ready to pounce.
Y’know, the nazis breathed air and ate food...thus anyone who disagrees with the powers that be are somewhat nazi.

Oh yeah, and why is it the prosecutors can go after these two and not the 1300 lawbreakers?
Two state employees identified within the Utah Department of Workforce Services and already placed on administrative leave could face criminal charges in connection with the lists release. The state calls them criminals. I call them heroes.
What is the punishment for distributing government assistance to known illegal aliens? Inquiring minds want to know.
Intriguing:

I’d bet a good slice [1/4th my chips] and offer double odds that every blasted detail is accurate.
I’m no laywer, but as I understand it ...
Truth is not always admissable in a court of law. It should be, but illegally obtained information is often blocked from consideration. Otherwise, snoops would be encouraged to expose too much about sleazeballs in power.
Yes, it is bitterly ironic that the heroes are faced with criminal violations for identifying..........criminals.
That pretty much sums up the insanity of our nation.
I wonder if his name translated into English means Mike Nifong?
