Regardless of what she says the “context” of her comments were, she was still comfortable with saying, in the retelling of it in February 2010, that she sent the farmer to a white attorney, or as she termed it “one of his own kind”.
She was unable to see him as just a farmer/person who needed her help, but a “white” person. Her “parable” was shot through with racial bias.
She is speaking about her reaction to an irritating person 24 years ago before she started to work for the USDA. Whether or not her opinions have changed since is an open question but her comments are not reasonably commensurate with a forced resignation, IMHO.
RACIST !
Little Green Footballs and DU are defending her, also.
Ah yes. Here comes the “I am the victim of a racist smear” defense. Wanna bet what the narrative will be now for the MSM?
I guess the farmer and his wife were okay "typical white people."
"And I went on to work with many more white farmers," she said. "The story helped me realize that race is not the issue, it's about the people who have and the people who don't. When I speak to groups, I try to speak about getting beyond the issue of race."
"Don't pay any attention to what I said or my body language in the video. Don't believe your lying eyes."
What a bunch of dreck. I'm supposed to believe this from the newspaper that has a racist editor in chief (Cynthia Tucker)?
Idiot doesn't realize it's not what she was trying to convey, but it was her behavior. She could have been trying to put the audience to sleep with the story but the story is what would matter.
No, she didn’t say what she said. Lewis Carroll, call your office.
I'm so sick of the "it's only racism if white people do it" mentality.
Her message was clear. Crackers need not apply. Another example of the most racist administration in generations.
She gets caught red handed making blatantly racist statements and what does she do?
1. Say she was misconstrued without actually explaining how she was misconstrued.
2. Go on the attack against the Left’s favorite bogeymen. I’m surprised she didn’t throw Rush, Beck and Palin in there too.
Give her credit for following the Lib playbook on this to the letter.
"There were some white people there...Sherrod recalled. "Why would I do something racist if they were there?"
So......the implication being that if they (white people) were not there, you would have done something racist?
See how it works, Ms Sherrod?
What you and other blacks have to got to realize is that there are white people (who just happen to be white) that think that black people (who just happen to be black) should be judged on their abilities and that whether white, black, yellow, brown or red, we are first humans.
If you are a stinking dumb ass idiot with racist tendencies and traitorous intentions, your name may be obama, but it ain't got nothing to do with color.
I mean, what the hell, your name could be Byrd or Pelosi or...
The act occurred in MARCH??? We just now hear about it!!!
The clearest act of media bias and cover-up by the MSM that can be found.
If it had been the other way around, it would have been shouted from the highest hill and on every TV and radio station in the country for weeks.
This is the reason that the internet is so important. It is the last bastion of free (uncensored) news left and the Obama thugs are going after it as I write.
Who am I going to believe? You or my lying eyes (and ears)?
Because you are nothing but a Black RACIST who wants to use your position to hurt/take it out on "Whity".
Obama is evil and those whom he has appointed are evil. All I can say is my tag line because God is the only one who can deliver us from these godless, evil men and women.
Naah, if she was right, they wouldn’t have fired her right away. They didn’t even bother to go to the lengthy process of ‘investigation by committee’, appeal, and so on.
The audience laughed as she described how she determined his fate.
Yes they were. Racists rarely seem to realize they are racists apparently.
