In the old movie, Gaslight, a woman is driven mad by her husband. He convinces her that she is imagining things. He keeps lighting a gas lamp in the house, causing the other lamps to become dimmer. When the wife confronts him about this, he repeatedly tells her that its all in her imagination and that the lamps are most assuredly not dimmer. Over time, the victim begins to doubt her own perceptions of reality, accepting that her husband must be right. His goal was to gain control over her fortune. Experts who work with emotional abuse victims recognize gaslightingoppressors manipulate their victims into doubting their own perceptions of reality. The abusers goal is to get his victim to affirm that he is rightshes the problem, not him. Most domestic abusers, however, dont have abetment from a depraved media.
Barack Obama and his cronies are using the same crazy-making tactics depicted in Gaslight, and later, George Orwells 1984.

Actually, I coined a term for this about a year ago that, unfortunately, has never caught on: we are now all living in the “Obamatrix.” And hope of a rescue is fading fast.
been using the term Don;t gaslight me for decades...great movie from the 40’s (I think) My lovely brother in law used to laugh everytime I said it...for me it meant don’t bull sh** me..
It's mind numbing!
Everything from BrainWashington seems like a Salvador Dali painting.
The Feds are suing Arizona for doing their job because they are slackers and don't want to do it (besides they'll get a lot of illegal Dem votes).
AND the Feds are suing AZ because they want to protect the border at the same time illegal drug scum invaders (holding US soil in a park as part of their invasion) have threatened private citizens of the US.
Utterly surreal!
Great flick. Here’s Gaslight part 1:

“Abused citizen” ping. Joy Tiz must be eavesdropping on our office conversations! :)
One of Angela Lansbury’s first roles, I believe. She played the saucy maidservant.
