Stimulus money is not being used in the private sector, thus not causing job creation. Private business are still apprehensive of potential future regulations that would strangle them, so they are holding off adding new jobs.
Rate goes from 9.7% up to 9.9%.
[Team Obama will make sure the numbers are juggled so as not to rise to 10% or above.]

Yep, I’m one of them. Just laid off 6/11 after 5 years. Looking every day since then and nothing. Anyone need a Customer Service/Collections Agent w/15 years experience?

If they were to drop the current ‘temporary’ census workers now that would in effect add another 0.4%.
