Eleven percent (11%) of American Adults are now following the World Cup tournament Very Closely. That’s up just slightly from 8% as the tournament began.

Why is that in the Obama story?

If the American team does well, Americans will feel good. When Americans feel good, they tend to give the government credit because they see the gov as the source of all good. If the U.S. team should win the Cup, Obama’s approval would go through the roof.
