Well, you can take this to the bank. If or should I say when, it moves onto the beaches of the west and or the east coasts of Florida, there will be no private police and censored photos. That, I can promise you. Too many people live ON the beaches. It’s not like LA.

The Russians only had a 4 out of 5 success rate. They were using it on land only, not a mile deep in the ocean. But I am no expert.

The main problem with using a nuke to close the deepwater well is that you are using a nuke to cause a landslide. Causing a landslide underwater could lead to a tsunami at the surface if they move more land then they intended. If they do use a nuke, the entire coast of the GOM needs to be evacuated. With Obama in power, they probably wont let us know when they use the nuke, and we wont be able to evacuate.

Did MMS people take bribes to allow these short cuts? Inquiring minds want to know.

It gets worse then that, if you read all the comments on that thread, toward the bottom, an industry insider basically claims that all those shortcuts BP used, are regularly used on other projects. Probably not to the extant that BOP used them, but this may be a systematic problem. So basically what our corrupt congress will do is try to pin the blame on BP for doing what everyone does to save time and money. They will use BP as the fall guy for the regulatory incompetence. Just like with Fannie and Freedie. Its the evil bankers fault, not the corrupt regulators.

Where were these ambient air samples taken, on the beach, out on the gulf over the slick, in urban areas?

You were saying ...

Where were these ambient air samples taken, on the beach, out on the gulf over the slick, in urban areas?

I would go back to the original FReeper with this information, since he got it from his sources ... see my Post #120 for the reference to our FReeper poster ...

Post to him and get further clarification. I'm taking my info directly from a FReeper ...

Let me know what you find out about the location, and I'll add it to this post ...

Not me; perhaps you should have that bladder problem tended to.

Maybe I haven’t yet earned my PHD in Nuclear Oil Leak Recovery Management (NOLRM for short), but I was thinking more along the lines of a detonation above the sea floor. Underground nuclear explosions tend to create large caverns, whereas I think the shockwave and melting of the sea floor from an underwater explosion would seal any holes. There have been underwater nuclear tests before, and at some point doing something is better than nothing. However, I don’t think I can foot the bill myself if it backfires.

I read somewhere that this oil deposit is one of the largest to be discovered in many years.
