I did not know you were allowed to ask a woman if she was pregnant. Thought that was verbotten.

Where in that article does it say that the school asked her if she was pregnant when they hired her? Please provide the relevant quote from the article.

If you’ll read the story, you’ll discover that she approached school officials to ask about maternity leave. So, she initiated the thing, telling the school officials she was pregnant.

I’m guessing her dates she said she would be needing leave didn’t jive with her wedding date plus X weeks and they got curious.

Certainly not on a job interview, but this is different as I think I read that the teacher was discussing her maternity leave.
