I hope this isn’t a stupid question, as I regard the man as heroic, but why couldn’t he pick his own driver, maybe a Catholic one?

I imagine he could have had a known Catholic driver but probably decided to trust Turkish authorities in providing one.

Apparently they had their eye on him; to their credit.

Yeah, why didn’t he fire the suspected driver I wonder?
