What an insane, anti-freedom bill. It violates both the Second Amendment and the First Amendment because it violates freedom of religion. Why should a church have to follow these stupid regulations if they do not want to? They can already exclude people with guns if they so choose.

“It is the right and duty of the people to be at all times armed, for in such manner is tyranny kept in check.”

How many centuries must that be repeated before the socialism impaired get the message?

One does wonder why the socialism impaired didn’t get the message during the Starving Winter.

He says he's never once felt his safety was threatened. "I have never seen anyone with a gun in a church and I don't want anyone to...

So the one time somebody shoots down a few of his parishioners he'll admit he might have been wrong?

The only people going to church with a gun with an intent to kill people, are people who would do the same thing even after the law is passed, probably with less anxiety since they know nobody is going to shoot back! These STUPID “feel good” liberals are going to get us all killed!

... a second thought. Maybe it is time to start proposing some bills that would start pushing things to the RIGHT .. we are always bombarded with "baby steps" pushing us to the LEFT. Why don't we propose a bill that all adults over 21 must carry a firearm if they are in public places ... this to send messages to drug dealers, murderers, etc ... so our streets would be safe from these elements. We need such a bill to keep our children safe.

The "left" would break out in hysteria. We need to be pushing back, legislatively, just as hard as we are being pushed. This bill probably won't go anywhere, and neither would the one I propose. But if a CLEAR "other side" is presented, perhaps the drift "left" would slow down or stop.

Under the proposed bill.....the entire congregation would have to be notified first......The proposed bill would have churches, mosques and synagogues apply for a concealed gun permit,....

I believe that individuals with permits should be able to carry a hand gun anywhere they want, with maybe the exception of bars, never the less I see this as a stupid law that was written by some liberal. The main purpose of this law is to get rid of the conceal nature of the hand guns because they know the majority of Christians would not want others in the congregations to be wearing guns in full view of their kids. Once they get rid of the concealed part of existent laws they will be trying to get rid of the guns period. Also I believe this law was written by a liberal that wants to look like a conservative but in reality is a liberal that crafts a bill that looks conservative somewhat but knows it will fail and then they will use the failed law to say Christian don't want others to have concealed guns. Second they are interviewing pastors in main line liberal denominations which it wouldn't surprise me if the majority of the pastors in these congregations are against individuals as having guns period. I could go on but I think most of you will get the idea.

Hey twit, if they have a concealed handgun license, you never will unless you NEED them to.

"I have never seen anyone with a gun in a church and I don't want anyone to start,” Trahan said. “I don't believe that children should be seeing people carry firearms in the church, I'm very much against it."

~~~~~~~~~
Idiot. They were -- and are -- there -- but concealed. If you never saw them, the children didn't either. That's what "concealed" means...
Aside from one LEO who let his jacket slip a bit, I've never seen a sidearm in church, either. But I pity any thug who tries to threaten anyone there. Forget the rest of the congregation; the Deacons alone represent a sizeable armed force. But, unless the SHTF, you wouldn't have a clue that was the case.
Trahan is a stupid, head-in-the-sand, incurable liberal ass...
Yes, because guns are bad, bad, bad. /s
