Never had any doubt the boomers democrats, progressives, liberals, RINOs, socialists, fascists, communists, Marxists would spend it all and destroy the country before my retirement.

Most of the transformation of Democrats into communists occurred as a direct result of hippie multicultural-ism. The advent of PC, Me Me, and desire to be like we we (Europe) were a big part of the previous generation. Our education system was subverted by progressives and communists making it a MIRACLE any of us from gen X forward have any conservative /libertarian leanings.
Couple this with the completely “hands off” approach to parenting and the degenerative nature of our entertainment and media industries. Open societies like ours only have a singular line of defense, education. Our youth need to be instilled with values and beliefs of the America we want in the future. By in large the previous generations got lazy in parenting and failed to pass on the future (happy grasshoppers playing through the summer). That puts us where we are today.
