I wonder. For sixteen months, the socialist media have repeated "Bush's fault" and now "Cheney's fault" as if Obama never took office. It's almost as if they've decided that neither Obama oath of office was valid and Bush really is still President. I'll bet if enough people questioned them on that spin, they'd drop the "Bush's fault" mantra faster than they drop all other stories that reflect poorly on Obama.

I lay this spill at the feet of environmentalists.
It has been intentional, the pushing of oil exploration off of the continental United States, further and further out into the oceans. Environmentalists have the goal of eradicating oil as an energy source, and have used every avenue possible to increase the cost of oil, coal and nuclear energy.
While I have heard that the larger oil fields can be tapped further offshore in deeper water, that shouldn’t prevent us from being able to drill in shallow water and on land, both of which are less used due to environmentalism.

Cheney must have been causing the oil spill around the same time that Bush was slipping on a wet suit and arranging 9/11, and oh yeah, around the same time that Al Gore was busy inventing the internet.
I hope California is getting all this down so they can put it in a textbook.

The way I figure it, since the MMS is under the government umbrella, it falls under Obama's responsibility for almost a year and a half now. Add to that the fact that the head of the MMS, Elizabeth Birnbaum, is a 'fellow' Harvard Grad that has been on the job for almost a year now. Idiots like Behar can't face the fact and reality that Obama OWNS this disaster...just like they said Bush owned 9/11. And we won't even talk about the cozy relationship BP has (or had?) with Obama.
Add to that the fact that just last year the MMS gave a safety award to the failed BP oil rig. And add to that the fact that the MMS home page claims to be "playing a role in Obama's vision for energy security for the 21st century".
