It was not too bright of the woman to point a shotgun at police (of cuss the article does not say what notice was given that the police were police). That is an invitation to get shot first and have questions asked later. The time to challenge police is later, in court. I think it unlikely any jury is going to award anything or convict and it’s really not honest to discuss the situation without all the pertinent details.

Notice they say HOLDING or Pointing;so even having a weapon in the presence of the king’s men means execution?
