LOL!! FLASH! Oil not related to oil!

“Now that they know the oil hasn’t hit South Florida yet, business owners who depend on tourists coming to the region for the beautiful beaches and waters can breathe a small sigh of relief.”

And now you know the motivation of this article...

“...20 tar balls were discovered floating in the waters off Key West...”

.
Tar balls usually do not float — they are heavy ends of crude that settle on the bottom and rock back and forth with the tide and hence become tar balls.

Tar balls, mostly small ones have always appeared on FLorida Beaches but to see so many of that size in a short period of time is NOT usual.

Tar balls are not new in the Atlantic.

Whe Thor Heyerdal (AKU AKU, KON TIKI) made his voyage accross the Atlantic in an Egyptian reed ship he found lots of tar balls floating in the water.
