Rise in Cold Fatalities, Mass Starvation from Pending Global Cooling Crisis Warns Scientist
Business & Media Institute ^ | May 17, 2010 | Jeff Poor

Most of us have heard or seen what global warming alarmists say the consequences will be if something isn’t done to limit the man’s impact on the environment. Al Gore, in his movie “An Inconvenient Truth,” warns global sea levels will rise by a whopping 20 feet, causing coastal flooding and creating a refugee crisis. Others aren’t quite as gloomy, but that’s not the real threat to the planet.

At the Heartland Institute’s International Conference on Climate Change on May 17, Professor Don Easterbrook of Western Washington University warned that the climate is headed for a period of cooling. He told the Chicago gathering of hundreds of scientists and policy professionals that there are three possibilities of cooling, examples of which we’ve seen within the last 200 years.

Climate alarmist will never admit this threat.

Yet another set of facts that gets lost in the dogma of Global Warming is that, as this scientist points out, Global Cooling is much worse for humanity than Global Warming and that Global Warming, to a certain extent, is actually beneficial. Of course we need to verify this scientists claims with real facts but if true, we are in for trouble and a decline in our standard of living (not to mention the death and starvation that will occur, to some degree, in less developed countries).

So we should build power plants now so that people will be able to cope with the cold. Divert agriculture from fuel consumption back to food for people. Sounds like the remedy is just what the doctor ordered! :)

Warmists and “coolists” are all climate alarmists. There are a couple of important differences:
1) Climate cooling alarmists aren’t trying to shut down the global economomy; or make trillions through such scams as ‘Cap and Trade’;
2) Global cooling is far scarier than global warming.

Now that I live in Houston instead of Alaska, I'm now in favor of Global Cooling.

Alaskans for Global Warming

Houstonians for Global Cooling!

This one (though he seems to express a belief in GW) seems to be basing his prediction on solar activity. He makes a shorter term prediction, doesn’t ask for money, seems to invite debate, and even asks people to check up on him in a few years. I see no hysteria.

Fortunately, we can use the Freedom of Information Act to keep requesting copies of Congressional legislation, which we can then burn for heat.

Global Milding seen as extreme threat.

With warmer winters, cooler summers and weaker thunderstorm, tornado, hurricane and blizzard seasons, Earth's climate is making its greatest threat ever to climatologists, meteorologists and untrained TV weathermen. "With nothing but pleasant sunny days and enough rain every third night to water the crops I will be unemployed and living on the street within the year. Fortunately homelessness won't be all that bad because the weather will be pretty nice."

You are absolutely right. They have to come up with something to keep their paycheck coming. They latch on to a theory or idea and go with it and the bucks keep rolling in. I am sure they have to submit papers every year to renew the grant and so it goes. You don’t believe they work for the good of the world or science - nope it is the check, baby.

He's not part of the cult. He's predicting cooling, not warming.

I've seen this prediction from others. The last decade has seen no warming and the last couple of years cooling. The Pacific Decadal Oscillation is turning cool, which usually means a long term cool cycle.

This should be simple.

If for whatever reason, the planet is cooling, then all we have to do is take all the “peer reviewed, settled science” from Gore, the IPCC, and various other world government entities and individuals that “clearly show” man’s activities causing warming, and DO MORE OF IT!

Problem solved, crisis averted.

One day they’ll find the excuse they need to justify a planetary totalitarian state. Until they do, they’ll keep looking for it.

Ya, and Gore believes his stupid diatribe about the rising oceans so much that he just purchased a 7 million dollar ocean front shack on the coast in Montecito CA.
