Totally grassroots California Personhood effort gathers almost 600,000 signatures, but falls short

Dearly Beloved …

The California Human Rights Amendment did not qualify for the 2010 ballot.

However, close to 600,000 signatures were collected, which is unprecedented for a Grass Roots campaign. We needed 694,355 signatures to qualify for the 2010 ballot. We were so very, very close.

What a valiant and noble effort it was to fight for the life of the preborn child with you. Lori and I want to express what a pleasure and a privilege it was to meet and work with all of you. Please know that we love you and have prayed for each of you.

The question I have been asked the most is: Where do we go from here?

While this is a question each one of us must answer for ourselves, as God holds us all accountable for serving Him according to His will, let me encourage all of us to work together, keeping Christ in our hearts and the lives of women and children in our minds. After all, pure and unstained religion according to God our Father is to take care of orphans and widows when they suffer and to remain uncorrupted by this world (James 1:27).

As for "me and my house," we will continue to serve the Lord as He allows, knowing that we have done our best. Again, it was a precious privilege to serve God beside you.

May God speed the end of abortion.

Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord.

Thank you all and may the grace of God keep you.

Yours In Christ,

Walter B. Hoye II

A valiant effort and I was happy to do my share of signature gathering.

Sadly, it is nearly impossible to qualify an initiative in this state without paying people to stand in front of stores to collect signatures, which means we need to be well-funded, and considering how many signatures need to be valid (especially with Democrats in control of the Secretary of State office), we have to shoot for over a million signatures.

If more churches got organized and involved like they did in the Prop 8 battle on marriage, imagine the possibilities. And that’s part of the problem, fear or apathy or just plain ignorance. Meanwhile, lives are lost.

Never got this petition. Was it distributed in all churches? Were ads taken to support this?

I not only never got the petition, I never even heard of it. Someone dropped the ball here. I would have signed in an instant.

It should have gone to all the Roman Catholic and evangelical Protestant churches in California. They are in the Yellow Pages. Not hard to find.

The Personhood movement is growing by leaps and bounds!!!

Over 40 states are now pursuing Personhood. Personhood USA co-founder,
Keith Mason said on Fox News this week, “We are re-defining pro-life to be Personhood. One can no longer claim to be pro-life if they don’t support Personhood.”

Pastor Hoye and Lila Rose did an incredible thing in leading nearly 600,000
Californian’s to stand for the God-given right to life of the pre-born - no exceptions!!!

These are grass roots efforts with very little funding and yet the people
are responding to the truth that we are endowed by our Creator with an
inalienable right to life!!

God bless Walter and Lila for their amazing achievement!!

Please tell everyone you know that if they want to end abortion in our lifetime, donate to the Personhood effort and get your church involved.

Don’t wait for someone to have the volunteer time to get there to do it
for you!!!
