Of course it's relevant, when the govt of that country (Mexico) is tearing its collective hair and screaming in agony at the horror of Arizona's extremely mild (by comparison) new law.

How Mexico treats illegal aliens is IRRELEVANT. If the Arizona law is a good law then it’s a good law on its own merits (i.e. it’s constitutional) and does not need to be justified by comparison to what a foreign country does. In other words, is your constitution enough to justify this law? if so then whatever Mexico’s law happens to be is, or at least should be, irrelevant.

Do you understand that foreign country's law and policies also encourage it's criminals, poor and uneducated to illegally enter the U.S.?

Even is this is argued that this Arizona law somewhat stretches the constitution slightly in favor of it's own survival and to America's benefit, so be it.

Based on the epic, violent, lawless events of the past 15 years in regards to our compromised, undermined borders, anyone opposing Arizona's new law in my opinion, should be seen as a prime suspect.

“ROTFL!!! “

‘You may be arrested and prosecuted for violating US Immigration and Customs Laws’ (but only in Arizona. The rest of the country does not enforce US laws concerning this matter. So eat, drink, be merry and provide us with a lot of labor for sucky jobs - and we’ll pay for your kids’ education, your health care, food stamps, housing, et al, and really good accomodations like cable TV and gyms and probably more food than you had in your homeland daily if you commit violent crimes also.)

And if you disagree in the slightest on any point, or dare to enforce your laws, sovereignty or anything else of the sort - YOU ARE RACISTS!!

“I’m a pretty fair shot, and legally own automatic weapons, just so that intolerant tyrants of ANY description cannot easily impose their agenda on me.”

I don't own any weapons, and have never fired one, nor do I intend to. If someone broke into my house, I guess I would try to find my husband's revolver.

However, the last time we had a burglar I screamed at the burglar to get out, and took a step toward him, and he took off running, so maybe I wouldn't have to do that. I am just not the violent type, so I pray that I will never have to make that choice.

“My experience is that those who get “all weweed up” over others not sharing their particular faith to the degree they demand are probably a bit weak in that faith.”

Anyone reading these posts, can see that you are the one that is “all weweed up”, so I guess you are the one that needs a little more of whatever faith you have.

“I do my best to ignore all religion equally, but “Kill the infidels” post like yours (off topic too) have to be answered in a free America.”

I NEVER said any thing about killing others - you are the one who started that by responding to my post with: just try it bub and bring the body bags. You are also the one bragging about your automatic weapons. All that for making a simple statement that you disagreed with - guess you idea of a free America means free for thee, and a bullet for me.

99 % of the time, I enjoy talking to people about their religious beliefs and learning more about their faith. One of my best friends is an atheist, and we do discuss our points of view - calmly -it is very interesting. But, he doesn't try to prevent me, our town, our school, from whatever faith we want to express.

He would have laughed at my original statement, and made a joke too, but he wouldn't have threatened me, and told me to bring a body bag which is what you did.

“And let there be no confusion, I desire to be as FREE FROM religion as possible, not merely agnostic.
Religious holidays annoy me, I am tired of having to conform my schedule to others superstition.”

LOL. Another statement showing your lack of tolerance for others in a free America. Try to be a little more tolerant, such annoyance is not good for your health. Try to find the silver lining in having the day off - maybe you can get in some target practice or something.

I made a flip remark which was not well composed, trying to express a desire to see all faiths be as important as faith, ethics and duty once was in the USA, and you got all bent out of shape telling me how good a shot you are and threatening me by telling me I would need body bags.

“Religion is not a necessity for ethics, intelligent self interest ensures ethics.”

Intelligent self-interest is what is rampant in Washington D.C. Everyone doing what is best for them, making quid-pro-quo deals etc, and ignoring the impact on the country, the states, and their constituents. Definitely not the best way to ensure ethics.

I do agree in "theory" that Religion might not be necessary for ethics, but from a practical matter, fear of eternal damnation in hell, and parents teaching right from wrong with the bible has been quite effective in the USA in the past, and figured greatly when the framers wrote the constitution. As we have become more secular, our society and our government seems to have gone downhill. Maybe you could found some secular movement for the advancement of ethics, duty, and honesty - that would be another great way to spend those Religious holidays productively.LOL.

“I tolerate all sorts of religions among my friends, I even have a few Muslim visitors, we just do not discuss religion, they know better than to attempt to bring it up with me.”

LOL. You have just shown how you are so intolerant that you can't even discuss religion with your friends. Are you a liberal, cause you seem to be projecting onto me issues which are your own? Best wishes and prayers for your continued good health, and I hope you can work on disagreeing without threatening violence.

I hope you enjoy putting words into my mouth.

Nice that you are so clairvoyant that you you understand things I never said too.

I’ve had too much experience with burglars, last time was a group of six, had I not been armed we would likely not be having this exchange.
Your husband should teach you to use his revolver.

I stand by my observance on weak faith and the compensating pushiness of so many “pious” people.

Your original post was the intolerant threat, desiring to throw me out of my own country just for not being a member of your religious sect.
Not a joking matter, and a too common thread here.
I never threatened you, I never threaten anyone.
I merely related what the result would be should some insane zealot attempt to force me out of this country.

I tolerate far more than anyone should have to, I am honest and up front about my disdain for religion.
If my casual statement that I try to disregard all religions equally is too offensive for some one’s tender sensibilities they need not visit me again.

You now state that you think it would be possible to throw all the atheist and secularist out of America without killing any of them?
I poorly phrased “flip” post indeed, and maybe not well thought out?

As to holidays, celebrate any you like, just do not impose their observance on me, I have far better things to do.

My friends understand my antipathy toward religion, most share it.
The rest respect me enough to not attempt pushing it on me.
The funny thing is that the Muslim gal who occasionally visits is the person most open to religious discussion without getting offended, or proselytizing.
Perhaps because she is from a minority Muslim sect that is under real attack from the Sunni and Shia?

As to my being a liberal, that would be funny if I actually thought you had a clue as to my actions in support of conservative candidates and issues.
The rally’s I have organized, the committee’s I have served on, the donations I have made (Most recently, a new shotgun to our upcoming candidates forum), the platform items I have authored, the candidates I have taught to shoot full-auto weapons properly, etc.

BTW, what makes you assume I enjoy good health?

Enjoy your religion, just please cease demanding that everyone must partake of it under threat of expulsion.
