Pelosi: Two 'pillars' down, one more to go in passing Obama 'blueprint' By Sean J. Miller - 04/17/10 06:51 PM ET

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (Calif.) said the Democrats are one bill away from completing President Barack Obama’s “blueprint for American prosperity.”

“We have passed two of the three pillars in the historic healthcare and education reform and are working towards a clean energy and climate agenda in Congress,” Pelosi said in her remarks to the California Democratic Party state convention in Los Angeles on Saturday. “And essential to prosperity for middle-income Americans is reining in Wall Street.”

“The House has passed Wall Street reform, and working with our colleagues in the Senate, we will ensure that never again will those who are reckless on Wall Street make people jobless on Main Street,” she said.

During her speech, Pelosi singled out several members of the California delegation who were in attendance. “We must reelect and retain the extraordinary leadership of my colleagues in Congress who are here today,” she said.

After returning from the spring recess, House Dems moved into a light schedule with short weeks and relatively easy votes over the next seven weeks to smooth the way for campaign season.

And just hours before completing work for 2009, Pelosi summoned reporters to her office and declared that she was "in campaign mode."

Healthcare, put the already injured economy into cardiac arrest. Cap and Trade, make sure the economy is dead and won’t recover.

Face your fears, acknowledge them, find the core of your personal courage and be pro-active in dealing with the socialist issues at hand. Discussing it with others is the first step....you are definitely NOT alone.

Currently they seem more interested in getting reelected than in curtailing the socialization of America

I am sure the DNC is expending no effort along these lines.

Advising the RNC to be the party of NO during this election cycle is reinforcing the DNC narrative. You are asking them to be the narrative. Interesting?

Why would you advocate this?

Replacing Steele, after the biased BS by the MSM would be a feather in the cap for the DNC why do you recommend this?

You question the motivation of those who oppose Obama, reid, and pelosi why?

You do not believe that the electorate has the ability or the strength to maintain their opposition to this regimes corruption? WOW

Who do you support?

I’m in the Bay area, and you’re right, Pelosi is just too entrenched here. Better to send your $$ to candidates in other areas who could actually win, and make calls for them, etc. .... and then after the November election, bask in the sight of Nancy foaming at the mouth because of her suddenly reduced power base, due to the loss of Dem seats in the House.

Now, THAT is a dream we can make happen! Remember in November!

The only people she’s trying to make happy are the San Francisco variety moonbats.

2 pillars down?

That sounds like the attack could come from right next door, eh?

Fear of being painted as obstructionist, fear of the Dem "narrative" as you put it, must not deter the Republicans from doing what I see to be their current job: stopping as much as possible of the socialist agenda that threatens to become law this year. I believe that success at that task would overwhelm the potency of the Dem "narrative".

Replacing Steele, after the biased BS by the MSM would be a feather in the cap for the DNC why do you recommend this?

The Republicans need a leader with the right, to use your expression, narrative. This is more important than being seen to support one of their own under attack.

You question the motivation of those who oppose Obama, reid, and pelosi why?

If you are referring to my doubts about the phrase "repeal and replace", it is because that would likely be an impossible task. It is better to focus on holding the line this year and fighting defections.

You do not believe that the electorate has the ability or the strength to maintain their opposition to this regimes corruption? WOW

The electorate needs leadership that demonstrates strength. That's what leaders are for. Obama steps into that leadership vacuum. So does the Tea Party movement, by default of the Republican Party. Obama's mid-40s approval rating despite all that has happened is also by default of Republican leadership.

Who do you support?

Sarah Palin, though with a critical eye.

“I never pegged Pelosi for a Communist ideologue before she became Speaker.”

Then you were not familiar with her background. She is a dedicated Marxist from way back. The day she assumed power
I was miserable, because I knew she was a Marxist.

Yes, I was not wholly familiar with her—I thought she was just a leftist SF moonbat.

Her father was a corrupt mayor of Baltimore.

She learned well.

“The San Francisco earthquake of 1906 was a major earthquake that struck San Francisco...”

And the entire city was rebuilt using private money. Newspapers of that era carried stories of school children dropping pennies and dimes into glass jars and sending them to SF. Businesses across the country wrote checks and mailed them to SF. It’s a good story showing how America worked before government got big.

With a communist/fascist in the White House, and a communist as Speaker of the House, this country is in mortal danger!

“The earthquake and resulting fire are remembered as the worst natural disaster in the history of the United States”

The damage caused by Nancy Pelosi surely has been far greater. Thus, SF has spawned 2 of the greatest disasters this nation has ever seen. We’ll have to leave it to scientists to figure out how to avoid or mitigate damage from any future earthquake. But Nancy Pelosi’s fate lies in the hands of all voters—not just those in her district. A Republican majority in the House will strip her of the power she’s used to steer the U.S. ship of state way too far in the leftward direction.

So the best thing for Middle Class America is to lose their retirement savings forever.

I suppose they consider forced poverty to be ‘good for us’. Put us in our place and make us beg to dear leader for salvation.
