“Reverse-racism is racism.”

Absolutely. It’s also tragic that the ‘payback’ racism is most often directed at those whose generation had nothing to do with the initial problem (kind of like blaming the current white population in the US for slavery and early century segregation).

And the black people in the US alive today were not slaves, nor were most of them alive when segregation was legal. Or at least not the majority of them.

Years ago I read in the Readers Digest an article by a black man (cannot remember his name, this was maybe 20 years ago) who wanted to find his “roots” so he went to Africa for quite some time.

Basically he came back to the US and practically kissed the ground, thankful that his ancestors had been dragged away from Africa to be slaves here in the US.
