The 2010 TIME 100 Poll "Cast your votes for the leaders, artists, innovators and icons who you think merit spots on this year's list of the 100 most influential people in the world."

TOPICS: Culture/Society; News/Current Events; US: Virginia
KEYWORDS: cantor; conservatives; news; time
It looks like their liberal readers are already stacking the deck in favor of left wing folks, but there are a couple conservatives on the list, including Eric Cantor, so support them and make sure Time's editors know they can't shut out conservatives from the Top 100. Ok well that’s the last time I try that. I gave him a 1 and not on purpose. That thing is impossible to move. I tried this the other day for Sarah and couldn’t get it to work either.

You’re being foolish to even give Time mag a second glance. This tabloid trash is only good as a fire starter.

The conservative leader Palin is only at 24 in the Time poll, Eric Cantor is against Palin by the way and seems to be more a Romney guy.

I agree that the best thing we can do regarding Time Ragazine is ignore it.

Better yet, support conservatives by not giving Time.com any traffic.

Of all the media talk personalities, the only one they put on the list is Rachel Maddow? She’s not even the most influential on her own TV station!! And she’s not the most influential lesbian political talk show personality either.

I voted for Neil Patrick Harris. Loved him in “Dr. Horrible”, and he is sitting at 90% right now.

That’s a good pt; rank them “100” to indicate they are influential. Higher is better for voting.

You have to click ahead of the arrow on the scale and it will jump upward.

Their description of Sarah Palin: "The former Republican vice-presidential candidate resigned her position as Alaska's governor to pursue public speaking, book writing and a career as a Fox News pundit, but she remains a leading voice in the party and a potential contender for the 2012 nomination for President. Her trademark antigovernment stance has meshed effectively with the burgeoning Tea Party movement, even as traditional GOP players continue to view her as an unreliable standard bearer."

Believe it or not, when I rated Michele Obama as a 1, the code words I had to type in were: "government mill" LOL!

So Time Magazine decides who the candidates are?

Of course, they couldn’t put Rush Limbaugh on the list. That would blow it up. We would Freep until they shut down the web site.

But Kaka? Who is Kaka?

You don’t actually think that Time would actually report the truth do you if a conservative happened to get on the list, do you?

Current results...

Rachel Maddow average: 74
Sarah Palin average: 24

And no Rush Limbaugh? Even after Obama complained about the effect Rush’s criticism had on his poll numbers? Sheesh.

This thing is a joke.

Its visible to everyone, so if conservative figures like Cantor and Palin can get a high enough ranking and enough votes, bias will be further exposed through who Time selects for their 100, which can only dis-credit them.

Okay.....so an online ‘poll’ is ‘visible’ I guess that it’s pretty much inviolate, too, huh? No admin can’t sneak in and add a few K here or there? Let me put it this way. There is NO MSM magazine newspaper, periodical, flyer, etc. that has one scintilla of credibility in my opinion, period.

Time mag. May be worth a vote for Palin. Dunno if this type of survey is moveable.
Thanks to Gopher Broke for this one.

FREEP THIS POLL ***PING!*** FRmail me if you want to be added or removed from the Fearless Poll-Freeping Freepers Ping list. And be sure to ping me to any polls that need Freepin', if I miss them. (looks like a medium volume list) (gordongekko909, founder of the pinglist, stays on the list until his ghost signs up for the list)

This is awkward and time consuming. It’s just another torturous distraction. Better things to do, and don’t give a R’s A about Slime ragazine anyway.
