Well back in the days of the Soviet Union, it just wasn't very easy to get an exit permit to leave the country, because they knew their citizens wouldn't come back if they allowed them to leave. Even the Israelis had to in a way, bribe the Soviets before they let the Russian Jews emigrate to Israel.
Its kinda funny realy, bacause Khrushchev and Brezhnev and all these Soviet leaders keep telling everyone that the Soviet Union was this “workers paradise”, yet they had to use force to prevent their own people from escaping from Russia, and the East Germans shot so many of their own citizens who were trying to escape from these “workers paradises” into West Germany

That is just another reason I dislike and don’t trust the intellectual capacity of liberals (in general)
Since 1918, liberals have been in love with the concept of The Soviet Union. They refused to admit or even see the evil that was communism.
So many liberals, for so many years steadfastly clung to the innocence of the Rosenbergs. Then, to find that the worldwide protests against their execution confirmed they were all Useful Idiots, and a lot of those protests were instigated by the Soviets.
Today, they think Castro and Chavez are great. Not so much Castro anymore, because even liberals who go down to Cuba are astonished by the decay.
When her first instance of intestinal parasites or malaria occurs she’ll drag herself to the nearest outpost of civilization and beg to be flown home and treated with the white man’s medicine.
That’s the one. Not a great movie but I did find it interesting and not boring.
