When one is pregnant the body's hormone levels rise substantially. By the time you give birth at 9 months, the hormone levels drop the way they are supposed to.
If one has an abortion or miss-carries, the hormone levels fall rapidly. That is why it is believed the link of breast cancer and abortion are related.
