"Why, I wondered, is there so much viciousness in the backlash against a bill designed to expand health insurance coverage to the uninsured?"
Dear Clarence, Medicare is broke! Social security is broke! and you want to hand the largest pile of American tax money in history over to the federal government to run healthcare?....You're a damn fool! I'm not paying for someone else's healthcare, idiot!

unfortunately for Clarence, who sits high in his ivory tower along with his other arrogant libs in the media, he fails to realize there is also a lot of anger fomenting with those who aren’t conservatives but who got brainwashed into voting for this con man from Chicago.

I find myself continually amazed that the same people who try desparately to understand why jihadis want to cut our heads off have no interest in understanding the concerns of their fellow citizens, if they are on the right.

TALK about sore losers. Just when you think the health care debate can't sink any lower, somebody manages to punch through the floor.Whatta idiot.
Hey Clarence - you know the easiest way to spot sore losers? They're the ones taking mulligans.
Your heros lost the public debate for this bill, so thats exactly what they did.

I honestly don't know why anyone listens to what Clarence Page has to say.
He is a sorry sack of human excrement.

"a bill designed to ... " I don't care what the bill is intended to do.
I care about what it does.
Democrats always think that their atrocities can be excused because they "mean well". Ahhhhhhh, after watching them at work for decade after decade, I say that their good intentions mean absolutely nothing.
And, final point, Barack Obama does not have good intentions.

Why, I wondered, is there so much viciousness in the backlash against a bill designed to expand health insurance coverage to the uninsured? Because the bill wasn't designed to "expand health insurance coverage to the uninsured" - it was designed to raise taxes (16,500 revenooers) and increase government control over our lives.

Why, I wondered, is there so much viciousness in the backlash against a bill designed to expand health insurance coverage to the uninsured?" I honestly didn't think there was a person in America stupid enough to believe that this was the actual reason for this bill.

Gee, funny how people react badly when their freedom is stolen from them by arrogant fascists masquerading as democrats (little "d" democrats, not members of the party formerly known as the Democratic Party), and when the Constitution is treated as just so much decorative toilet-paper, to be used to wipe up dung. All things considered, the reaction's been rather sedate.

Clarence Page is following the talking point he was issued like the good little stooge he is. Have a cookie Clarence. You earned it.

Whenever I see old bug-eyed Clarence I'm reminded of the 3 Stooges episode where the black cook is amazed to see water pouring out of the clock, stove and light fixtures after Moe, Larry and Curly have fixed the plumbing.

Let them be deluded. There might be an even bigger surprise in November than they realize. There was a turnover of over 120 seats in 1898. I’d love to see a 200 seat turnover in the house. And I’m predicting a 12 seat gain in the senate, if not more.
Let no congressman or senator go to get a paper or a sub without being berated and ridiculed.

Either ol’ Clarence thinks the homos in California are sore losers too or he’s a hypocrite. How do libs get away with wearing such restrictive blinders to their own thoughts?

Gee, I wonder why not?

Well Clarence...it's obvious the last ten million occurences of bells ringing didn't get you your "wings".
In the first place, you idiot, the TEA party movement was protesting obamacare loooonnggggg before he signed it, so you even though your little metaphor of "before the ink dried" was cute, and all of that, it was woefully inaccurate.
The only place the TEA party movement will backfire on, is the left (
that includes you skittles).
I would have loved to have some stock in Hewlett-Packard to cash in on the dividend from all the ink you and your cronies have used printing up these "TEA party" stories...the problem is, they are all just rewrites of democrat talking points.
You see Clarence, the TEA party movement is the same as America...they are about the PEOPLE. You remember them, they
used to buy your newspapers and magazines before you sold out to Kenya.
The PEOPLE run the TEA party movement; so let me be clear (
I borrowed that phrase from your messiah), If the PEOPLE
are the TEA party movement, and the PEOPLE are the American government...who - exactly - does that leave for this to "backfire on"?
Give that man a cardboard cookie...you're exactly right, it's going to backfire on that herd of commie/socialist that now occupy the White House and Congress.
So BACKFIRE AWAY, I say...push until the democrats and all the mainstream journalist are in the unemployment line to see how it feels.
The movie was right, Clarence, you do have the mind of a child.

The ink of President Obama's signature was hardly dry on his health care overhaul legislation before reports of vandalism and death threats against congressmen on both political sides threatened to upstage the bill that apparently sparked the anger. Anger on BOTH POLITICAL SIDES and it's the "Right's fault".
Projection. Contempt. Projection.
He should call a waaambulance. Dissent is patriotic. The freedom of speech isn't about pornography, it's about voicing displeasure in government.
