These raids and the alleged Christian character of the militia, as well as its targeting Muslims, is a mainstream media dream come true -- a few years back the BBC featured an inversion-of-reality drama about Christians beheading Muslims, and now, lo and behold, it seems to have come to life. For years to come this "Hutaree" will be thrown in the face of anyone who takes note of jihad activity in the United States and around the world, as if this group in itself balances and equals the innumerable Islamic groups that are waging armed jihad all around the world today.
The point will be the same as the one Tim McVeigh has had to shoulder alone all these years (even though he wasn't really a Christian at all, and did not justify the Oklahoma City bombing by reference to Christian teaching): that every religion has its "extremists," and that therefore it would be bad form to subject Islam to greater critical scrutiny, and Muslims to greater law enforcement scrutiny. Everyone does it, don't you see? Al-Qaeda, Hamas, Hizballah, Jemaah Islamiyah, al-Shabaab, and on and on and on -- yes, but the Hutaree!

Stop Jihad Now.
Doing is different from thinking.
There, that's kind of how CAIR defends the loudmouth mullahs in the mosques who advocate that their hopelessly small Moslem communities prepare to defend against Christian attacks.
This is an old formula.
Still, let's say Katy Courac (just for example) showed up some day with her head on the other side of her house from her body. Who would likely be blamed?
As you can see other MSM types in fear of the same treatment would certainly want to target the proper perpetrators. I don't think the Moslem community would escape from criticism that easy. Nor do I imagine Christians would be blamed.
Well, maybe Chris Matthews might, but who watches him!
Of course, such an event may give Obama the excuse to seriously crackdown on Tea Parties, guns, and Christianity.
My prediction is that the feds will continue the crackdowns until one of them goes horribly wrong. That's what they want. That's what they're waiting for. They want the excuse.
Since it’s only alleged threats; will the Militia members be entitled to the same pass as the New Black Panthers?
I think we need to consider the possibility that the Michigan case is simply laying the groundwork to do exactly that, even if there is no violent resistance. All of this yapping about "hate speech" at the tea party rallies and talk radio has a purpose, and that is to paint the tea parties and radio hosts as violent terrorists so that no one will squawk when they go after Rush, Beck, Hannity and then move to shut down the churches. I believe Obama fears the churches more than the militias, truth be told.
“I believe Obama fears the churches more than the militias, truth be told. “
Where I live, they are often one and the same.
You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police. Yet in their hearts there is unspoken—unspeakable!—fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts! Words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home, all the more powerful because they are forbidden. These terrify them. A little mouse—a little tiny mouse!—of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.—Winston Churchill
What a great and timely quote!

Yeah, right. I thought about dropping an atom bomb on Mecca. Do you think they will come after me next?
It used to be the power of the pen. Now it’s the power of the computer mouse, and the mice are roaring.
