While most patriots were at the Capitols Tea Party this Saturday, Gathering of Eagles was keeping watch over our Military Memorials and FReeRepublic was holding a Support Our Troops Rally at Memorial Circle.
This weekends Troop Support Rally started on March 17,2007 with GoE I. In 2007, [Mrs] Ts pic HERE, the weather was cold (upper 30s), wet (it rained all day Friday and we had a mix of snow and freezing rain at the Friday Night Walter Reed Rally), and windy (20-25MPH, and higher as one crossed the Memorial Bridge).
This year we had low 70s and sun. We all got suntanned, or at least the proverbial farmers tan.
Our patriots included (in order L-R as shown on the below photo: Me, Lurker Bill, RongKirby, Fraxinus, GunsAreOK, Veeram, Cindy_True_supporter, and RLmorel. Not shown here but will be shown later are 3DJoy and Stratman1969. [Mrs] T took pictures for today.
Since the moonbats were not marching to the Pentagon for the first time in years, the below banner from March 17,2007 was not needed. Apparently lacking money and un-washed moonbats, their march was cancelled.
We once again had a very visible presence on the Circle this year (BELOW).
One 20ish jogger stop by to thank us for being there. She has run the Marine Marathon before and works with our wounded soldiers. She had been running though D.C. and saw the moonbats and all the police needed to keep an eye on them. She was getting down just thinking about how the moonbats denigrate our soldiers. As she came over the Memorial Bridge and spied the MOAB and our group, her patriotism over whelmingly came back. She had to stop and say THANKS.
We also had a Marine run through our position to THANK us. Holding the U.S. and Marine flag he stopped by my position as he was leaving. While talking I discovered he knows our Marine son. Small world.
We also had a passerby stop and stand with us for about 45 minutes. (BELOW LEFT). And this guy (BELOW RIGHT) also stopped by.
And II, an Israeli soldier stopped by to THANK us for supporting our troops. We also had a lot of waves from people walking the paths outside the Circle. In case I need to mention, we also had constant honking, waving and shouts from passing cars, including the below van.
(BELOW) 3DJoy and her interesting jacket.
(BELOW LEFT) Stratman1969 with Lurker Bill in back ground. (BELOW RIGHT) Cindy_True_Supporter welcoming cars as the come over Memorial Bridge.
(BELOW LEFT) RLMorel and Veeram hold down our very busy left flank. (BELOW RIGHT) GunsAreOK and RongKirby with Stratman1969 and Fraxinus in back ground.
HERE are the rest of the pictures from that day.

Great report Mr T . Thank you for doing it .
It was a great day to be a patriot!!!
[Mrs] T
2007 was the night of the ‘st patty’s day’ blizzard. Our bus from Maine came through the storm to arrive on the mall at 10:15 the morning of the counter-protest. (16 hours on the bus). I’ll never forget the sea of flags that greeted us.
That day was also the first time I heard of FP
to you all there this time;
.....OUTSTANDING....
Noli Me Tangere!
Yep, I remember the tales of the buses coming from up north. Tough travel but we sure are appreciative of you presence. Every body counts.
[Mr] T
Thanks, trooprally.
It is nice to “live” the good times again through your reports.
Check out this set of pictures from Arlington.
Maryland PING!
Mega-bump!
Too bad you can’t BBQ and picnic there.
Thanks for the ping/bump.
It was great weather this year for our Rally and the Tea Party Rally.
Weather was sure nice for it. But I’d have to permit one of the side areas for the BBQ. Wouldn’t want it to take away from our Rally.
