Rasmussen: 55% Favor Repeal of Health Care Bill
Rasmussen ^

Thursday, March 25, 2010

Just before the House of Representatives passed sweeping health care legislation last Sunday, 41% of voters nationwide favored the legislation while 54% were opposed. Now that President Obama has signed the legislation into law, most voters want to see it repealed.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey, conducted on the first two nights after the president signed the bill, shows that 55% favor repealing the legislation. Forty-two percent (42%) oppose repeal. Those figures include 46% who Strongly Favor repeal and 35% who Strongly Oppose it.

In terms of Election 2010, 52% say they’d vote for a candidate who favors repeal over one who does not. Forty-one percent (41%) would cast their vote for someone who opposes repeal.

Not surprisingly, Republicans overwhelmingly favor repeal while most Democrats are opposed. Among those not affiliated with either major party, 59% favor repeal, and 35% are against it.

So much for the bogus Gallup push poll the other day.

And 59% of Indies want it repealed which is pretty much the final nail in the coffin for Dems in November.

Only gonna get worse for them when insurance renewals come up with 35% higher premiums. And their friends and families at brokerage businesses have to fold. And tuition goes up even higher because the large group insurance plans at colleges go up 35%. And when the “rich” (i.e. anyone who pays taxes) see how their taxes will be affected.

This percentage will be much higher in red states and districts. If you were to remove the urban areas which is largely populated by looters, the percentage will be more than 55%. It does not look like a good time to be a Dem running for office.

What does it matter what the polls say? The Dims just keep doing whatever they want to do on the road to slavery and fascism by legislative fiat and the Republicans are too weak, stupid, sissy, CS, ineffectual, powerless, gutless and cowardly to do anything about it.

55% - thats as good a spin as Rasmussen could put on it.

I'm sure the actual number is 10-15% higher.

I would bet you will see more and more people refusing to pay their taxes. If insurance goes up much more, more people will be hurting, health wise, because they will pay their mortgage before they will their insruance.

I’m worried people won’t see this until after November. I’ve always had health care through my employer (because I’m lucky or won life’s lottery or whatever) so I’ve never had to deal with renewals. When do they go out normally?

The difference between Rasmussen and the rest is that Rasmussen only polls likely voters, the others poll “Americans” which can be anyone with a telephone whether they can legally vote or are even registered to vote. Rasmussen is the more accurate poll because, politically, the only people that “matter” are the ones that vote.

Hopefully the surrender wing of the GOP is paying attention.

I think Mrs. Pelosi has confused “majority rule” with “rule over the majority.”

And I think she’s out as Speaker whether the GOP retakes the House or not. Surely the more rational members of the Dem party know she’s become a liability.
