AND NOW . . . amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke. . . it is time for . . . that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, from behind the golden EIB microphone, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-the-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, serving humanity simply by showing up, and he’s not retiring until every American agrees with him, do NOT doubt him, with shrieks of joy at the mere mention of his name (that’s Rush, for those in Rio Linda),the Mandarin of Talk Radio, with talent on loan from G-d, at the cutting-edge of societal evolution, with half his brain tied behind his back — just to make it fair, the all-knowing, all-caring, all-sensing, all-feeling, all-concerned Maha-Rushie! America’s anchorman, truth detector, and doctor of democracy. A Real Man, a living legend, a way of life. Commander in Chief of U.S. Operation Chaos. Chief Waga-Waga El Rushbo of the El Conservo Tribe. Chief of the Patriotism Police. Leader of the Conservative Movement. A Weapon of Mass Instruction. El Rushbo (a little Spanish lingo, there). He is the man who is running America (you know it and I know it). He knows the Democrats like every square inch of his glorious naked body. He is ready to do what he was born to do—that’s host. Get ready to what you were born to do—that’s listen (and post your comments on the Rush Limbaugh LIVE Radio Thread).

Dude! I got a Dell.

I5 dual core, dual threaded 3.2 ghz.

I have nothing to complain about with the specs and it is upgradable. The cashier amused me as I paid with cash. Since it was mostly 20s, he was being condescending in an amusing way as he counted it. I was so intrigued by a young man from the Memphis schools who could count, I let him try to “educate” me with his trick for counting it correctly.

I did, however, make a comment as I was leaving that should lead him to think of an even better way if he is as bright as I think he is.

I’m sick to my stomach today.

Sincerly,

CSM - Went to bed a free man and woke up a line item on a federal budget.

I’ve frankly had it with those FReepers who’ve been engaging in this little pity party since last night! Good Grief...would some of you folks grow some stones!

WE don’t have time for this pathetic, defeatist attitude...not now!

Even Rush said on Friday, if this House thing goes through, all is not lost.

I know we’re all frustrated, but we cannot give up!

Stupid knows full well that the E/O is worthless. He never intended to vote against the bill, but the E/O, in his mind anyway, saves face for him. Perhaps he thinks we are stupid, but the turn out of the people over the weekend puts that theory to rest.

I feel like Freeper throwback:

" I'm feeling a real incentive to leave. Where to go? Criminals to the south of me, commies to the north, stuck in the middle again."

Prediction. Rush says "this ain't over yet".

You can also use the application “Stitcher.”

George Santayana said that those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeating history. Today marks the 245 anniversary of the passing of The Stamp Act. It was repealed one year later, however the spark of the American Revolution was ignited. In this most timely hour, let us learn from our history, let us learn from the ways of the sons of liberty, let us be heartened by their example. A spark has been ignited and a new revolution is underway!

From another thread. Really good analogy.

A few of my favorite Revolutionary War quotes I ran across this weekend that are probably lesser known, but just as inspiring and applicable!:

“A thing moderately good is not so good as it ought to be. Moderation in temper is always a virtue; but moderation in principle is always a vice.” - The Rights of Man, Part 2, 1792 (Thomas Paine)

“Objects of the most stupendous magnitude, and measure in which the lives and liberties of millions yet unborn are intimately interested, are now before us. We are in the very midst of a revolution the most complete, unexpected and remarkable of any in the history of nations.” - Letter to William Cushing, June 9, 1776 (John Adams)

“We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge, or gallantry, would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” - Address to the Military, October 11, 1798 (John Adams)

“The battle, sir, is not to the strong alone; it is to the vigilant, the active, the brave.” - Speech in the Virginia Convention, March 23, 1775 (Patrick Henry)

(((CC27))) ..we made it through the night, eh?

My son reminded me of this part of the code he swore to live by this morning- and I have printed it and put if on my corkboard in my office.

~ I will never forget that I am an American, fighting for freedom, responsible for my actions, and dedicated to the principles which made my country free. I will trust in my God and in the United States of America. ~

Section 6 of The Miltary Code of Conduct
