Regrettably all too true. Plus the tactic of the Human Rights Commission often dragging out the proceedings and then dropping the case. Just in case the magistrate happens to be old fashioned and throws them out of court. In the meantime the innocent victim has gone through a very trying time. One noted figure, Ezra Levant, although besting the tribunal has now $100,000 in lawyers fees. Their fees? Zilch.
Mark Steyn was appraised of a sudden withdrawal of the case against him two years ago, by the HRC. The Council of Muslim Canadians (or similiar title) then went after Macleans Magazine for publishing Mark Steyn. It was thrown out. Mark seemed to think the Islamic purpose is to put Western countries under their yoke.
