I read it out loud, it came to life and reminded me why we cherish this extraordinary and exceptional country.
The principle at founding was radical. It turned the entirety of human history upside down. Man is his own boss! Responsible for his own welfare, answerable for damages he causes, and entitled to the wealth of his own production.
Government must serve those principles. Government is not enabled to equalize, it is enabled to enforce every man as his own boss, and to contract every man to common defense against those who would subjugate any responsible individual.
The power of those facts gives me goosebumps.
The power and dishonesty of the government piss me off.
