Latest Fox estimate on OmabaCare
Fox News Channel | 3/20/10

Posted on 03/20/2010 10:13:49 AM PDT by pabianice

Fox has it passing 217-214 as of this afternoon if all "undecideds" vote as they did in November. Dems have dumped the Stupak crew off the fantail and picked-up pro-abortion Dems in return. Obama now working to increase the win margin. Bummer.

Obamacare IS social security, more or less. Or it will morph into it in a few years. taxes will go up, benefits will go down.

KEEP THE CALLS UP! DC OFFICE LOCAL OFFICE

Hold your own street protest in front of your reps local offices. Or busy street corners. Try and get the local media to cover it. Hammer the Medicare/SS issue, nothing like mad grannies and gramps.

This is from a 2007 contact list of congressional aides. Some might not be there any longer, but worth a try. The ones on the one post are senate aides, a few have bounced back, it’s worth the effort to clog up their email system along with the phones, and 1/3rd of these senators are up for re-election.

Mail must be inspected for anthrax takes 2 weeks, so if you snail mail send a post card

CODE RED Contact list http://www.nrcc.org/CodeRed/targets/
Remember they are all being offered BRIBES for their votes. Ask them how much their bribe price is.

The National Republican Congressional Committee has published a target list on health care. In addition to continuing to contact the five Tennessee Democrat Congressmen, you can go http://www.votervoice.net/link/clickthrough/ext/94697.aspx to contact some of these targets. Much of the talk following Obama’s announcement has focused on how to defeat this second bill through reconciliation, but that is misleading because the first step to defeating Obamacare is not by concentrating on defeating the “fixer” bill but by defeating the Senate bill in the House when it goes to the floor for an up-or-down vote on Sunday March 21st.

Good idea from the bloggers at Hillbuzz:

http://hillbuzz.org/2010/03/17/action-items-march-17th-2010/
They offer specifics and links on how to put pressure on Dem DONORS, who have private numbers for legislators who may have taken their phones off the hook.

NEW NO’s

Jason Altmire 202-225-2565, Aliquippa, 724-378-0928, Natrona Heights, 724-226-1304 (NO)
Michael A. Arcuri (NY-24) NO
Harry Teague NM NO

And here are toll-free numbers we can use to call any Senators or Reps.

At the first number below you must wait through a tape recording urging you to tell your Rep or Senator to vote “yes” for the health care bill. Just hang on and when the recording is over, you will get the Capitol operator. Just ask for your Rep or Senator’s office. Then you will either talk to an aid or have the chance to leave a message for him/her to vote NO on the health care bill.

When you use the second number and the Capitol operator comes on, just ask for your Rep or Senator’s office. Every time I use this number I get the Rep or Senator’s answer machine, so it may be set up that way all the time...to go to their answer machine. Either way you can leave a message to vote NO on the health care bill!

We need to use these toll free numbers that have been set up for the health care/ BO supporters and illegals to use! After all they are FREE!

if all "undecideds" vote as they did in November.

That's almost a "well, duh"

OTOH, according to the TheHill.Com's whip count the bill fails if all undecideds vote as they did in Nov.

And a good post, btw :-)

I think you all need to realize that no matter what happens tomorrow, this thing is far from over. Really, the whole issue goes to the Senate parliamentarian as the senate needs to approve the reconciliation bill. There is a bunch of crap in here that doesn’t have anything to do with the budget. At that point it’s kicked back to the House. Sit back and take a deep breath.

I do agree it will pass and that Pelosi can get the votes, but Fox’s whip counting has been horrible.

Even lefty blogs don’t think Pelosi has the votes at this moment.

Fox really needs to stop saying the left has the votes to pass this thing until they actually do. Right now, Pelosi does not have the votes.

I have noted FNC is not as informative as I had hoped. I want to see MORE of the tea party going on at the mall and I’d expect FNC to cover more of it. I typically love Neil Cavuto but he was ‘weak’ today in his interviews. I agree with some others here- FNC needs to improve today - very disappointing. However, without FNC- we’d really be sunk so let’s not start the circular firing squad. You can always send comments to the management of FNC and individuals at their web site. Make your feelings known vs. just writing about it.

Obama - you own ALL ramifications of this bill AND YOU WILL PAY FOR IT IN NOVEMBER.

And you & I will pay forever. Not a good trade off. Also you can blame Bush & his RINO buddies for allowing McLame as the nominee via lib lite governing. Example - Thanks Newtie for sticking your stink'in face with The Hildabeast & going along with the global warming farce. Thanks to all of my socalled conservative (R)s in California for nominating Ahrnold & his stink bath cronies.

Once the House deems the thing as passed, Barry signs it, and that's the end. There will be no attempt at reconciliation in the Seante, and they all know it. The last thing a lib traitor wants to talk about for a few more weeks is healthcare.

The fight over healthcare, however, will be the thing that occupies the remainder of our lives. The fight will never be over.

I’ve noticed lately that they have been cheering Obama..sad to see

I've been watching Fox a lot lately and I haven't seen the same thing. Maybe it's a matter of perception.

But I do think the drama that has been built up is fake in one sense. I think it was a done deal a few days ago. Do you really think Pelosi would have called for a vote if she didn't have the numbers. Rubbish. Can you imagine the humiliation of calling a vote only to lose? What's been going on with the Democrats is that they have been trying to save as many seats as they can by making the vote as close as possible. Behind closed doors, they are deciding who has the best chance of survival come November and they are deciding who gets the opportunity to say no and possibly save their seat. Most should be able to see through this. If you are undecided on this horrific piece of legislation at this point then you are beyond pitiful. This bill is so bad that even a Democrat ought to know it. If you can't ascertain this, you are partisan scum. And that's what these Democrats are. They know it's a terrible bill but they have more loyalty to their party than their country.

The only option we have is to keep fighting it and make it clear to the public that this is a Democratic Bill and the Republicans had NOTHING to do with it. When the consequences fall upon the public, the Democrats (and the MSM) cannot point the finger at Republican. They own it. The only thing we can do is to throw them out ASAP, like Nov 2010.

I am sort of conflicted as to whether I want them to pass it or not. If they pass it, the powderkeg will be lit. The true costs of the bill will come out in the open, and the true decline in actual care will come out, the news that premiums will skyrocket, and states and lawyers will challenge it. It may not survive the challenges in court, and it may be repealed when people realize what a bill of goods it is.

However, if it is defeated, the 'rats and their compliant media can paint it as a defeat of something great, and the republicans are obstructionists, etc. I am starting to think the bill will be more soundly defeated in the long run if it passes.

Fox is good at political talk shows. But when it comes to “news” they’ll report it long after msnbc or cnn. If a plane crashes Fox will report on it from the hospital.
