Could the President face impeachment, if the Supreme Court strikes the 'Slaughter Solution'?
Telegraph.co.uk ^ | March 19th, 2010 | Gerald Warner

Posted on 03/19/2010 5:44:15 PM PDT by fiodora

The nasty car crash that is Obamacare is dragging down Obama’s presidency. The cancellation of his visit to Indonesia and Australia to stay at home offering pork-barrel enticements to doubtful Democrats is the kind of desperate expedient we expect from Third World dictators apprised of a potential coup at home. [sic] the precarious nature of a presidency that has all but lost control.

In his obsession with his healthcare fantasy, Obama is prepared even to allow the subversion of the US Constitution. For what else is the so-called Slaughter Solution? Leaving aside the grim irony of this name being associated with legislation that seeks to promote an explosion of abortions in America by injecting billions of dollars into state support of that abomination – and thereby making every taxpayer complicit in abortion – the fact remains that the fundamental purpose of the Slaughter Solution is to bypass the Constitution. [sic]

It is, of course, profoundly self-defeating. When the sweating, cornered rats from Capitol Hill face the public in November, they may be able to bluster that they did not actually vote for the Senate Bill in the House. [sic]

The term “Slaughter” may come to have a deeply ironic resonance for Democrats, come November. In the meantime, “deem and pass”, the most outrageously anti-democratic scam ever seen in American political life, is almost certainly open to challenge in the Supreme Court, [sic]

The presiding spirit behind the squalid manoeuvres of Pelosi and Reid is Obama. [sic] The buck stops, etc. So, in the event that the President signed this healthcare legislation, consciously evading Clause 1, section 7 of the Founding Fathers’ protective document for American freedom, and it were then struck down by the Supreme Court, a question arises: could Obama then face impeachment? Think about it. [sic].

Constitutional jurisprudence from a hack Brit blog?

Come now.

How did he propose the President is criminally liable for the Unconstitutional actions of the House of Representatives again? Reference to Ike's “The Buck Stops Here” sign. I didn't know that was a legally binding contract on par with the Constitution!

Impeachment my a...eye. He needs to be arrested for treason and turned over to the Israeli government for trial.

Nobody is going to impeach TheFirstBlackPresident™. But so what: it isn't going to matter after November anyway. Obama isn't going to be able to get a bill naming a Post Office through Congress.

If we get by this weekend, he's done.

I read the following in the Telegraph’s blogs.

“We must stop the Obama agenda, for him to succeed, America must fail.”

They’re right. If Obama succeeds, it is the end of America.

Are they even going to need the slaughter solution if they have the votes? And I would be shocked if they don’t have the votes.
We will know Sunday. If Pukelosi brings the vote to the floor they most certainly have them in my opinion.

And run over by his own bus.

Impeach, try, convict and deport!

The High Crimes and Misdemeaners are piling up.

There should be an Impeachment Resolution filed daily by the Republicans. It is time to get serious about deposing the imposter.

Any Democrat who isn't at this very moment, a loud and emphatic NO vote against Obamacare and Nanzi Pelosi's unconstitutional maneuvering will face serious voter wrath (if not worse) in the coming months. No amount of bluster, evasion, or double-talk will save a single one of them from their fate.

And just whom is going to prosecute Obama, Pelosi, Reid, et al, when the amount of corruption is so deep, and the closeted skeletons of both parties are piled so high, that anyone other than a person of the the media-anointed 'fringe' is going to suddenly embrace their inner sense of chivalry and try to pack these traitors behind bars? It doesn't matter how many newly-minted freshman ideologues come riding into town, looking to kick ass and take names - every table in the entire casino is rigged against them. It's going to take a protracted 10th Amendment campaign to have any effect on that putrid swamp; but many statehouses are just as mouldering. This is going to be street-by-street warfare until we can slog our way back to calling anything in Washington 'The People's House'.

“How did he propose the President is criminally liable for the Unconstitutional actions of the House of Representatives again?”

For purposes of impeachment, “high crimes and misdemeanors” are whatever the 50%+1 of the House defines them to be. That’s all you need for a bill of impeachment to be sent to the Senate. Given any bill of impeachment sent from the House, the Senate has to try the case with 2/3rds of the Senate agreeing that the bill of impeachment is “true” (the President is guilty of the high crime or misdemeanor).

So the President *could* be impeached for knowingly signing a bill that is unconstitutional (if 50%+1 of the House believes this to be a high crime or high misdemeanor), and removed from office for that “crime/misdemeanor” (if 2/3rds of the Senate agrees), but I would not bet more than I could afford to lose on that happening, because I cannot see *any* election result in 2010 that could cause that.

(Unless maybe San Fran Nan can cut a deal with Dingy Harry where they impeach Obama and Biden with Pelosi replacing Obama and Reid getting the VP nod. Yeah, maybe for that reason.)

I think, the rats are desperate because they do NOT have the votes, and they may try the slaughter-thing...

If they have the votes they said they have, the messiah wouldn’t be running like chicken without head...

The messiah is going to fail! Big Waterloo Party!!

What this out of the British press who hailed 0bama as a wonderful choice for America? I bet we couldn’t even give 0bama to the Brits now.
I’ll tell you what makes me so angry at the American public..many people over our history have fought and died for this country to preserve our Republic. The idiots in this country who don’t give a good g**D*** have brought this too us. I am SO angry I am ready to divorce myself from friends and family who voted for his nightmare.
I don’t think, when and if we get this monster out of the WH, we will ever be able to sanitize it again..
