SAN FRANCISCO A federal appeals court says Anna Nicole Smith's estate will receive none of the more than $300 million that she claimed her late billionaire husband had promised her.
The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals is the latest stop in the 15-year legal battle over the $1.6 billion estate that oil magnate J. Howard Marshall left after his 1995 death at age 90.
Smith had married Marshall the previous year and argued that he meant to leave her more than $300 million.
A Texas state court ruled against Smith and in favor of Marshall's son, who argued the model should receive nothing.

I don’t think it should be nothing. He DID marry her and it’s obvious he loved her-even if we know where he was thinking from.
I don’t agree with zero.
Give it to her daughter (through inheritance laws).
Oh Gawd. Another 10 Greta shows in Anna Nicole.....
Anna Nichole and her hangers on....yet another good reason why the Arabs want nuclear weapons...
She thought she should get more than that.
His son disagreed.
The court agreed with the son.
Except that according to the article, she's not getting the $300 million either.
My mistake.
Misread the article.
She did get something, just not as much as she thought she should.
According to a comedian “Have you seen that guy? If she touched ‘it’ even once she deserves all 300 million!”.
Texas is a community property state. The property accumulated (except by gift, or inheritance) during the marriage is jointly owned, and the surviving spouse is entitle to their cut. Property held since before the marriage, on the other hand, is separate, and the surviving spouse need not get a share.
I’d say she deserves the $$$$. BLECH
Weren't they married three years? I'd guess that three years interest, profits and capital gains on a billion dollar portfolio is still a pretty good chunk of change.

Not but one other stop and that’s SCOTUS should the appeal be made and SCOTUS decides to hear it, correct?
Drugs, deaths by drugs, doctors facing charges now, and who knows what else.
I doubt the old man ever said anything like that.
Weren’t they married three years?
From the article:
....Smith had married Marshall the previous year and argued that he meant to leave her more than $300 million.....
Whoooops. I've gotta remember - "read article, THEN post"
The article wasn’t explicit but it was 14 months I believe from marriage to death.
She was 26 when she married the 89 year old Billionaire. That about sums it up.
Baby daddy will just market the kid.
...although he did stand over the grave, asking, “Anna?”
[/obscure Kevin and Bean Show reference]
May she R.I.P., but she was just a mean, vile person.
“Who wants that kid now?”
Her father has been good...he treasures her.
That’s good to hear.
