“I disagree back, there will never, ever, ever be the political will on Capitol Hill, on the part of Dems, to cut this massive amount of money from Medicare, I dont believe a word of it.”
Medicare doctors donate much less to politicians than private insurance industry. The bill already has triggers to make cuts. All the panels in the bill are to make lower national standards of care.
Where’s AARP?
Bought out with stimulus money.
Too bad. Republicans could have made a great deal of progress. Except they went on the wild goose hunt of the public option.
Likely the Republicans will be for the bill in a few years time. They will talk about “compassionate conservatism” and public-private partnerships and criticism will be scolded as socialist, anti-American, anti-Business.
Any offers to repeal it will likely keep the most odious parts.
Obamacare will make “socialist” care in places like Japan look cheap.
Again, there will never be the political will in Washington to cut $500 billion from Medicare. Newt and the Repubs tried to cut Medicare in the 1990’s and failed miserably. Politicians are cowards and liars. Nope, not gonna happen.
