Most flight deck crews mentioned that line in homage whenever a FA wanted to bring a kid up to the cockpit, but you ALWAYS glanced over the shoulder before you said it (just to make sure). I always wondered how many pilot careers were terminated by using that line at the wrong time. :-)
“Airplane”, still a classic.
I was boarding a plane and noticed a credit card in a plastic pocket on the inside of the cockpit door. I asked the pilot if they bought gas with that?
The pilot sez, “Yep, just like in the movie”...
