If this Obamacare passes this week, the biggest "insurance company" will already have their hands on it. Yet another reason to question this policy; When the government is the insurance company, and the holder of our most intimate personal genetic information, problems will be plentiful.

Chuck, regarding using DNA to track/trace disease, most of the nastiest DNA situations are "KNOWN" from other public records regarding "cause of death" of relatives.

At the same time there are a vast number of DNA related problems where the number of different genes involved in creating those problems is so great that no one gene can be pinned down as a cause.

The costs could be quite high to track such things down.
