If the rules of Congress are out the window, the new Republican majority can vote to eliminate the 2/3 majority required to over-ride a presidents veto authority. Doesn’t matter what the Constitution says anymore. Just change it all on the fly! Thanks Democrats for clarifying the rules — the end justifies the means. Rules and ethics don’t matter anymore.

If the rules are out the window, majorities do not matter anymore. Votes do not matter. You are in uncharted territory - Chavez-land, or Fidel-land, or even Khomeini-land.

In that case, democratic measures like "repeals" may not exactly be the order of the day.
