Very good for you. Yet it is that America is awakening, we shall see soon if it is too late to avoid major ... catastrophe.

“The danger to America is not Barack Obama, but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the presidency. It will be easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to an electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails us. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The republic can survive a Barack Obama. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president.”

Well, I'm glad someone else sees this. I've said this in so many words, before, in posts on Free Republic, in that the real problem with Obama being elected is not "Obama" himself, but rather the people who put him in office....

That's always been the problem. And no matter what happens to Obama, as long as you have those people who vote these kinds of characters in office, we'll never change and "go back" to the way this country should be run.

The problem is really never the leaders themselves, but rather the people who put those leaders there in the first place.

Go out and talk to the average Obama voter, and we know what you get. Oh, yes, I like Obama’s pro-life position, and his choice of Sarah Palin as his running mate, etc.

Well, a lot of Freepers have been saying this for some time—at least back in the time of Bill Clinton and Whitewater.

And I would second your prescription: “Pray for America.”

There are plenty of things we can do, actions we can take. And we should do whatever we can. But unless God intervenes, and there is a massive change in our culture arising out of a religious revival and a moral revival, it’s hard to see how we can pull our country out of this mess.

Very true — Hussein can do nothing by himself. Without those congresscritters who keep on saying ‘yes and amen’ to him, he would be a prisoner in the WH.

Without our reluctant congresscritters birthers would know by now who he really is or would have had egg on their faces.

Until pro-aborts are driven out of public life, everything is in peril.

Pro-aborts are murderers and liars. They are a direct threat to the Constitution, because the only way to sustain “legal” abortion is by Constitutional fraud.

It’s mostly the pro-aborts who are for amnesty. It’s the pro-aborts who are the worst taxers and spending. It’s the pro-aborts who are for surrender to jihad.

Single-issue pro-life voting is the most patriotic kind of voting.

We have a dumbed down electorate, the product of a failed education system. And it must be recoginized that the composition of the electorate has been rapidly changing since the 1965 Immigration Act. We are sowing the seeds of our own destruction.

The U.S. adds one international migrant (net) every 34 seconds. Immigrants account for one in 8 U.S. residents, the highest level in more than 80 years. In 1970 it was one in 21; in 1980 it was one in 16; and in 1990 it was one in 13. In a decade, it will be one in 7, the highest it has been in our history. And by 2050, one in 5 residents of the U.S. will be foreign-born. Currently, 1.6 million legal and illegal immigrants settle in the country each year; 350,000 immigrants leave each year, resulting in net immigration of 1.25 million.

Since 1970, the U.S. population has increased from 203 million to 306 million, i.e., over 100 million. In the next 40 years, the population will increase by 135 million. Three-quarters of the increase in our population since 1970 and the projected increase will be the result of immigration.

We are not assimilating our huge immigrant population, most of whom are poor and undeducated. A continued sense of national identity/shared sense of endeavor is at risk.

Obama will be gone someday ... his voters will remain among us.

Act now! Socialize the Legal profession.
It is obscene that in a country as rich as the US, people should go bankrupt because of Legal bills. People have a RIGHT to Legal care.

This is indeed more disturbing than Obama. It looks like 40 years of leftist indoctrination in our public schools has indeed taken its toll.

Good points but it must go further: Every politician who supports this putsch or does not actively fight it should be removed from office at the earliest possible opportunity, whether by scheduled elections, allegations of misconduct, lawsuits, etc. Every politician from a safe district, such as Pelosi, Frank and others should spend the rest of their political careers facing loud and assertive demonstrations whenever they show their faces in public. Let them be virtual prisoners in Washington DC. Those who oppose this legislation should boycott all organizations which support it, including all mainstream media, retailers, banks, investment companies, unions, etc. Celebrities and others who lent their “prestige” to the putsch should be boycotted. If a party “repents” and makes an effort to reverse the situation, it might be forgiven but it is time we put our money and convenience where our mouths are.

Until supporters of this travesty see swift and painful retaliation (no, I’m not talking violence here), they will not fear the consequences of their actions. Let there be public demonstrations, Halls of Shame, boycott lists, slogans, political contributions, volunteer time and more to convince the politicians and their willing accomplices that, like the Republican mascot the elephant, we do not forget. Let them be like Admiral Yamamoto who suspected the Pearl Harbor attack merely wakened a sleeping tiger.

People who voted for SOBama need to be confronted and shamed.

When I see someone with the dope's sticker on their car, I ask them if they know that some a-hole, named Obama, put a sticker on their car and that it's probably wise they remove it lest others think they voted for him.

Take a tactic right out of their playbook, and turn it back on them. Speak truth to stupidity and let them know that because of their careless vote they've set this great nation on what may be an irreversible path of ruin.
