Two weeks ago, near my neighborhood, a man let his Yorkie out to pee one night.
An owl, probably a Great Horned took the Yorkie right in front of him.
He got a shotgun and shot the owl, then called the police.
Now he’s in trouble w/ the Feds.

That's sad and that's Mother Nature at work. Sad....the man was a real bozo calling the police.
We have a large owl in my area - at least a 6ft wingspan ....thank goodness, Nemo, grew up to 45 lbs.
I was worried when he was a pup knowing how owls and Red Shoulder Hawks hunt. We also have a mated pair of those hawks in my area...they hang out on my property a lot.
Rabbit, rat, and snake population is way down from years past.
